       At last Sunday’s
     Pumpkin Carving Party

At last Sunday’s Pumpkin Carving Party, kids,
parents, and catechists took some fun time to
carve jack-o-lanterns to get into the Halloween
    spirit.
Halloween actually has a Christian and liturgical
origin, you know! The word is a contraction for “All
Hallows’ Eve.” “Hallowed” is an old way of saying
“holy,” so “hallows” are the “holy ones.” Thus “All
Hallows’ Eve” is the eve of All Saints’ Day!

30th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME 30 DOMINGO EN TIEMPO ORDINARIO

Martes:
¿Alguna vez has tenido un amigo necesitado y solo Rom 8, 18-25/Sal 125, 1-2. 2-3. 4-5. 6/Lc 13, 18-21
querías darle algo: una comida, una llamada telefónica, Miércoles:
un mensaje de texto? No porque supieras que ayudaría, Rom 8, 26-30/Sal 12, 4-5. 6/Lc 13, 22-30
sino simplemente porque querías tenderle una mano. Y Jueves: San Simón y San Judas, apóstoles
                                                                  Ef 2, 19-22/Sal 18, 2-3. 4-5/Lc 6, 12-16
no queremos decepcionarnos. Pero recuerda, el ciego Domingo siguiente: 31er
en el camino obtuvo lo que pidió, pero habría obtenido                               Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario;
                                                                                     Domingo del Sacerdocio;
