PRACTICE SELECTION For the first part of the summer, our summer associates will work in a Recent Programs variety of practice areas and receive litigation and transactional assignments. At the program’s midpoint, they will have the opportunity to select a service area to focus on for the remainder of the summer. I was heavily involved in a complex arbitration where I was able to work directly with one of our top Labor & Employment attorneys. We won that case. In retrospect, that work was instrumental in my development as an attorney. Every assignment I received as a summer associate provided a realistic experience of what it’s like to work as a first-year associate. James Korte, Associate 4 5
