3 EVENT ENTRIES 3.1 EVENT CATEGORIES The below categories will be run for this event. In order for a category to be held, at least four (4) riders must be registered in that category. Entries will be uploaded into Sqorz after entries have closed. It is the rider’s/rider’s guardian’s responsibility to ensure that their entry is correct. This includes transponder number, category, and plate number. Event Entries Link https://entryboss.cc/races/10007 Entries Close 9:59 PM WAST Wed 2nd February 2022 The cost of entry will be: Category Entry Fees (inc GST) (+ transaction cost) Mini Wheeler / Sprocket $20.00 20” / Cruiser $25.00 30+ Open Wheel / Junior Superclass $40.00 Superclass $50.00 3.3 MEMBERSHIP • The events will be open to all riders holding an AusCycling All Discipline Membership or Off-Road Membership. 3.4 TRANSPONDERS • All riders (except Participation Categories) will need to provide their own transponder to enter this event. • 20” and 24” bikes will need separate transponders unless prior approval has been received. • It is the riders responsibility to ensure that the transponder is correctly fitted to their bike and is operational which includes an active subscription. • Transponders can be purchased here. 3
3.5 RACE PLATES • Riders must ensure they have the correct Race Plate as detailed under section 3.02 of the AusCycling Technical Regulations – BMX. • Riders with duplicate plates in the same category may be required to add an ‘X’ on their race number. 3.6 EVENT REGISTRATION (SIGN ON) • All riders are required to attend the Event Registration (sign on). • All riders must take their bikes to the transponder checking station to register for the event. • Riders entered in two (2) categories (i.e. 20" and 24") must take both bikes to register in both categories. • It is the responsibility of the rider/parent/guardian to check all details are correct at the transponder checking station. 4 RACE INFORMATION 4.1 RULES AND REGULATIONS The event will be conducted under Technical Regulations of AusCycling Australia (AC) and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). These Technical Regulations are supplementary to the following: • AusCycling Technical Regulations – General • AusCycling Technical Regulations – BMX 4.2 RACE FORMAT Current UCI Rules apply using Scrambled Moto transfer system for all categories except for participation. Block format may apply pending rider entries. Gate positions for Motos will be random computer drawn. Total points to end of motos followed by Qualifiers and Finals. Gate positions for Qualifiers and Finals are in order of lap time from the previous Stage or Round. A category of one (1) full gate or less (i.e. eight (8) riders or less riders) will be run in accordance with section 2.03.03 a) of the AusCycling Technical Regulations – BMX. The race format for the 2022 AusCycling WA State Series Round 1 – Mandurah BMX Club is as follows: Category Race Format Mini Wheelers/Sprockets 4 Motos Challenge 3 Motos, Qualifiers, Finals 30+ Open Wheel 3 Motos, Qualifiers, Finals Junior Superclass 3 Motos, Qualifiers, Finals Superclass 3 Motos, Qualifiers, Finals 5 AWARDS & PRIZING 5.1 SPROCKETS All Sprockets will receive an award at the conclusion of their last Moto for participation. 4
5.2 MASTERS (30+ Open Wheel), JUNIOR SUPERCLASS & SUPERCLASS CATEGORIES For Masters (30+ Open Wheel), Junior Superclass & Superclass categories, the following will be provided: Category Prize Placing 1st Place ($100), 2nd Place ($60), 3rd Place ($40), 30+ Open Wheel Prize Money 4th – 8th Place ($20) 1st Place (33%), 2nd Place (23%), 3rd Place (14%), Junior Superclass Prize Money* 4th Place (8%), 5th Place (7%), 6th Place (6%), 7th Place (5%), 8th Place (4%) 1st Place (33%), 2nd Place (23%), 3rd Place (14%), Superclass Prize Money^ 4th Place (8%), 5th Place (7%), 6th Place (6%), 7th Place (5%), 8th Place (4%) * $500 prize pool per round. ^ $2,000 prize pool per round. Please Note: Merged Category payouts will be in accordance with UCI Part 6 Technical Regulations 6.1.014. 5.3 DISTRIBUTION OF AWARDS / PRIZE MONEY Sprocket and Masters (30+ Open Wheel) categories will be issued their awards/prize money on the day at the conclusion of the final (or last race for each category). Junior Superclass and Superclass categories will receive their prize money via Cash or EFT (as soon as is reasonably practical following the event). Riders are to provide their bank details via email to: secretary.mandurahbmxclub@gmail.com 6 VENUE INFORMATION The following are prohibited at Mandurah BMX Club: • Pets • Alcohol • Smoking (including E-Cigarettes or other vaping devices) All attendees at the 2022 AusCycling WA State Series Round 1 – Mandurah BMX Club are required to adhere to the AusCycling Code of Conduct.
