2021 FLORIDA AUTOMATED VEHICLES SUMMIT The Central Florida Expressway Authority, the Florida Department of Transportation, the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority, and Transportation and Expressway Authority Membership of Florida (TEAMFL) invite you to participate in the 2021 Florida Automated Vehicles (FAV) Summit on November 29 - December 1, 2021. Florida’s leaders have been at the forefront of recognizing the profound impacts of automated vehicle technologies on the existing transportation network and its supporting infrastructure. Political and governmental support facilitates Florida as a proving ground for these emerging mobility solutions. Nationally-recognized experts are being called upon to discuss the state of the industry, early implementation opportunities, and challenges to be addressed to successfully integrate automated vehicles within the existing transportation network and to proactively engage the industry and stakeholders in understanding the impacts that these technologies will have in real-world conditions. The FAV Summit will focus on Automated, Connected, Electric, and Shared (ACES) Technologies. The FAV Summit is hosted by the Central Florida Expressway Authority, the Florida Department of Transportation, the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, the Miami-Dade Expressway Legislative Changes to Florida Statutes Authority, and Transportation and Expressway Authority Membership of Florida (TEAMFL). • 316.85 Autonomous vehicles; operation. POSTERS Registered 2021 FAV Summit student attendees are invited to submit a poster detailing a project or research related to automated, connected, electric, or shared vehicles and industries. Posters facilitate informal discussions between presenters and their audience and provide an intimate forum for exchange of information and ideas. Well- constructed posters will be self- explanatory and answer stated questions, allowing the presenter to supplement and discuss particular points of interest. Posters will be judged while on exhibit at the 2021 FAV Summit, and top-rated posters will be given awards. Successful poster presenters are those who achieve coverage and clarity on topics relevant to the 2021 FAV Summit. Requirements 2019 FAV Summit Poster Winner • Poster dimensions must be 40’’ x 30” and in landscape orientation. Judging Criteria • Posters must be printed on semi-gloss paper and • Coverage and clarity mounted so they can be placed on an easel. It is the company’s responsibility to confirm receipt of cancellation request. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after November 19, 2021. The date upon which the written notice of cancellation is received will apply as the official cancellation date. Upon company’s notification of cancellation, TEAMFL reserves the right to resell the opportunity. At its sole discretion, TEAMFL reserves the right to reject any sponsor, exhibitor, or advertiser request. Force Majeure: If the show premises is destroyed by Acts of God, fire, or the elements or if government intervention or regulation, military activity, terrorism, civil disturbance, strikes, labor disputes, or any other circumstances make it impossible or inadvisable to hold the event at the time and place provided in the application, then and thereupon the contract shall terminate and the benefactor shall waive any claim for damages or compensation, except the pro rata return of the amount paid after deduction of actual expenses incurred in connection with the event; there shall be no further liability on the part of either party. Changes to Sponsorship Level: All requests for changes to sponsorship levels must be made in writing to Dennis Hinebaugh via email to dennis@favsummit.com.
