Youth Sports
Our Program Philosophy
Our recreational youth sports programs are provided to give kids of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to have fun, ma ke friends, be
active and learn about the many benefits of participating in youth sports in a safe and positive environment. All of our act ivities, rules,
policies and actions must be consistent with our program philosophy.

Registration Information
Players registering for athletic programs during the published registration period are guaranteed placement on a team. Playe rs attempt-
ing to register after the published registration period will be placed on a wait list and are not guaranteed placement on a t eam. Wait list
players will only be assigned to teams if space is available after teams have been formed. It is important that players regi ster prior to the
registration deadline. See the registration dates below for program specific deadlines. A late registration fee will be app lied to all late
registrations that are accepted. The amount of the fee will be determined by the program and the age group.

League Change Requests
Players wishing to play in a league other than the one indicated by their age MUST submit a league change request form prior to the pub-
lished registration deadline. League changes are NOT guaranteed and players registering in their age appropriate league will be given
priority. The primary consideration involved in accepting or denying a league change request will be the skill level of the player. To play
with friends/neighbors, to share rides or to play with siblings are NOT valid reasons for a league change approval. If the r equest is de-
nied, a refund request form will be accepted providing the registration took place prior to the registration deadline. Leagu e change forms
and refund request forms available online at www.bhrec.org.

Special Request and Team Placement
Players may request to play with up to two other players on the same team. If possible we will accommodate requests however they are
NOT guaranteed. The primary consideration in the creation of teams is to create teams of relatively equal strength. Playing with friends
is secondary. No refunds will be offered if your special request is not granted. Requests to play with a specific coach will NOT be consid-
ered during the creation of teams. Potential practice day conflicts MUST be listed on the registration form. Coaches choose practice days
and times after teams are formed possibly requiring a move to a different team to avoid conflict.
