CLUB NEWS Mildura Clay Target Club 2021 Easter Carnival With Covid 19 last year and the cancellation of the Mildura Clay Target Club’s Easter Carnival in 2020, it was fantastic to be able to hold our Carnival this year in addition to having our opening ceremony for our new ShotStop Curtain during the carnival. Interest in the lead up to the event was high which saw nominations for the events at an all-time high. It was also great to see the Presidents from the Zone, VCTA and ACTA attend. The weather over the weekend was fantastic with mid to low 30s for each day. Also a first for the competition at Mildura was that the finals for the Double Barrel event and the Handicap were shot in the evening under lights. With the mild weather the spectacle was appreciated by the spectators. This year the events’ major sponsor was Beretta Australia. Thanks go to Lorenzo and his team for their support of this is Carnival. The first event was a 50 target Single Barrel Championship sponsored by One Stop Wholesalers and O’Connor Harvesting. The event was hotly contested with 5 shooters shooting 49/50.
