Wednesday, July 7, 10-10:30 am Waterford Public Library Online 4-H Farm Tales: Flower Farm - Build a monster flower using an umbrella from your house and supplies in your 4-H Activity Kit to learn about the parts of a flower. Registration required for those 2021 Children’s Summer Reading ages 6-11 years old through our Calendar of Events on our website. Once registered, please stop by the library to pick up your kit containing materials and instructions you will need to participate in the Facebook Live program. Saturday, July 10, 9-1:00 pm Grab & Go Craft: Turtle - Drop in anytime during the next two weeks to pick up supplies to make a turtle craft at home. Monday, July 12, 12:30-1:00 pm Outdoor Storytime: Join us for an all ages in-person family outdoor storytime on the side lawn next to the library. Register through our Calendar of Events on our website. Please bring a blanket to sit on and follow current Library and CDC guidelines. Rob Brule, our Waterford First Selectman, will join us as a special guest reader! Thursday, July 15, 9:45-10:45 am Tortoise and the Hare: Slow and steady wins the race! Meet a box turtle and a bunny who make their Join a Summer Reading Program! home at DPNC and learn about the adaptations of these very different animals. Does the popular fable The Babies and Toddlers (0-4 years old) Tortoise and the Hare tell the truth about how these animals live? This outdoor in-person program is Children’s (5-11 years old) recommended for families with kids of all ages. Rain Teen (11-18 years old) date: Thursday, July 22nd. Add To The World! engages children with a fun, high-energy performance that includes exciting hands-on music, movement and counting activities. The performance will include books, music technology, and visuals about counting, addition and subtraction.
