2020 U19 YOUTH SPANISH TROPHY

GENERAL INFORMATION

You will be based in a coastal resort, situated on Spain’s ‘Costa Brava’. The average daily
temperature in July is in the mid 70's with 12 hours of sunshine. The area is renowned for its
spectacular beaches which have been awarded the EU Blue Flag, a benchmark guaranteeing
the highest of standards both in terms of the quality of the water, sand and of the services.
Barcelona, the capital of Catalunya, is only an hour drive down the coastline and your tour
can include a trip to this fascinating city and the Nou Camp home to FC Barcelona.

The Spain Trophy is an International recreational football tournament at the end of the
football season with a large participation of teams from all over Europe, mainly Italy, Spain,
Portugal, Germany, France & Ireland and also from Africa, Canada & USA. The tournament is
spread over four days during which your side will play at least three matches across the
first three days. Depending on your results over the first three days, the fourth day is finals
day whilst those not qualifying will have a free day to either watch the finals or enjoy one
of the many activities on offer such as the Port Aventura theme park. The accommodation
is based on full board and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Your meals commence with
dinner on arrival.

SUNDAY 28th JUNE 2020

You will assemble at your chosen airport for your flight to Barcelona or Girona. Your flight
time will take approximately 2 hours and once in Spain your coach will transfer you to your
accommodation. Once you have checked into your accommodation, and subject to flight
times, you may wish to explore the area before you enjoy your evening meal.

                                         Subject to flight times you may wish to enjoy a tour of
                                            the Nou Camp Stadium, home of Barcelona FC

MONDAY 29th JUNE 2020

After breakfast you will travel to the tournament for your registration and
the opening ceremony. In the afternoon your group matches will commence:-

        10.00 Hours – 16th SPAIN TROPHY – DAY 1

         Once you have completed your matches on day one you will return to your
         accommodation and enjoy dinner at the hotel.

TUESDAY 30th JUNE 2020

After breakfast you will travel to the tournament where group fixtures will continue:-

         10.00 Hours – 16th SPAIN TROPHY – DAY 2

          Once you have completed your matches, you will establish your final
          group position and whether you have made it through to finals day. In
          the evening you will enjoy dinner before having the remainder of the
          evening free.

WEDNESDAY 1st JULY 2020

After breakfast you will travel to the tournament where group fixtures will come
to a close and playoff matches will take place:-

          10.00 Hours – 16th SPAIN TROPHY – DAY 3

          Once you have completed your matches, you will establish your final group
          position and whether you have made it through to finals day. In the evening you
          will enjoy dinner before having the remainder of the evening free.

THURSDAY 2nd JULY 2020

Should your team have made it through to finals day you will travel to the
tournament following breakfast.

             09.00 Hours – 16th SPAIN TROPHY – FINALS DAY

             If playing in the finals you will participate in the final matches and in the
             presentation ceremony once the tournament is complete.

If you do not succeed in reaching the finals day, you will of course have the option to go and
watch the action; alternatively you may wish to enjoy a trip to one of the nearby theme parks
such as Port Aventura.

FRIDAY 3rd JULY 2020

The morning and afternoon will be free to explore the coastline or simply
relax on one of the fine beaches in the area. Alternatively you may wish to
take a day trip to the outdoor activity centre, Activ Natura. It is just a short
transfer away and with a wide range of activities your group will have the
chance to experience new exciting challenges, whilst having lots of fun.

SATURDAY 4th JULY 2020

On your final day, subject to flight times, you may wish to relax on the beach for one last
time or purchase local gifts, many at tax free prices, before you depart your accommodation
for your return flight home to conclude your tour.
