SHEEP EXPO SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Thursday, July 5th 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM Facility open for arrival1 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM Registered ewe check-in 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM Stock Show U 6:00 PM - completion Registered ewe showmanship, followed by team showmanship2 Friday, July 6th 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM Facility open for arrival1 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Check in, weigh, and classify commercial ewes, market lambs, and fleece 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Skillathon 8:00 AM – completion Registered ewe show, followed by commercial ewe show3 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation Lunch Saturday, July 7th 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM Skillathon 8:00 AM – completion Market-type showmanship, followed by the market lamb show and exhibitor awards4,5 1 No animals are permitted in the barns prior to inspection. 2Team showmanship will begin immediately following registered ewe showmanship. 3The commercial ewe show will begin approximately one hour following the conclusion of the registered ewe show, but no sooner than an hour and a half following the conclusion of check-in. 4Commercial ewes and market lambs are included in market-type showmanship. 5The market lamb show will begin approximately one hour following the conclusion of market-type showmanship, and exhibitor awards will be presented as soon as possible following its conclusion.

2018 Tennessee Junior Sheep Exposition Judges Mr. Jeff Zinner Frankfort, KY Jeff is a partial owner of Wether or Not Club Lambs, and is also currently a Loan Officer for the Central Kentucky Agricultural Credit Association. Jeff previously managed the world’s largest purebred livestock show, the North American International Livestock Exposition, and has raised and shown sheep for over 30 years. In addition to club lambs, Jeff has raised and owned purebred Hampshire and Dorset breeding sheep. He and his wife, Megan, have two daughters that also enjoy showing livestock. Mr. Jordan Amburgey Mt. Sterling, KY Jordan became involved in the sheep industry at a very young through his 4-H and FFA projects. Along with his family, Jordan raises club lamb projects with a modest, but selective ewe base. Throughout their show career, they have exhibited numerous champions across the country, which include 13 Grand or Reserve Champions at the Kentucky State Fair, American Royal, and NAILE. In addition to a number of other shows, Jordan has evaluated livestock at the Iowa State Fair, Illinois State Fair, Nebraska State Fair, and the Belt Buckle Bonanza.
2018 Tennessee Junior Beef Exposition Judges Mr. Brad Bennett Lincoln, NE Brad grew up on a Virginia cow/calf operation, and was actively involved in 4-H and FFA programs. Brad was a member of Butler Community College’s National Champion Judging Team, and Kansas State University’s National Reserve Champion Judging Team. After completing his M.S. in Ruminant Nutrition at K-State, Brad served as University of Nebraska’s Judging Team Coach, and is currently the Southeast District Sales Manager for ABS Global. Brad will soon be relocating to Cookeville with his wife, Maddie, and son, Easton. Mr. Corey Wilkins Cullman, AL Corey grew up on a diversified livestock operation in North Alabama. He obtained his B.S. degree from Kansas State University, where he was a part of their very successful livestock judging program. He then obtained his M.S. in stocker cattle nutrition from Mississippi State University, where he served as the assistant livestock judging coach. Corey and his wife, Kallie, currently reside in Cullman, where they run the family’s Angus and SimAngus cowherd. Corey is employed by Allied Genetic Resources where he primarily manages bull and female production sales across the U.S.
