SUMMER SCHOOL AGE REGISTRATION DATES 2018 Current Families (Families registered for School Year 2017/18 or Summer 2017) BANGOR LOCATION WHEN: Starting Wednesday, March 21st. WHERE: Dahl or Houser branch There is no registration event. Parents may submit paperwork in-person at either YMCA location. LA CROSSE LOCATIONS WHEN: Tuesday, March 27th at 5:30 pm WHERE: Dahl branch in La Crosse Sites available for registration include: Emerson, Harry Spence, Longfellow, Northside, and Grand Finale at the Dahl branch. Tickets will be handed out when doors open that morning at 5:00 am. HOLMEN LOCATIONS WHEN: Saturday, April 7th at 7:30 am WHERE: Houser branch in Onalaska Sites available for registration include: Evergreen, Holmen Lutheran, Sand Lake, Viking, and Grand Finales at Holmen Lutheran and the Houser YMCA. Tickets will be handed out at 6:00 am on the day of registration. ONALASKA LOCATIONS WHEN: Saturday, April 14th at 7:30 am WHERE: Houser branch in Onalaska Sites available for registration include: Eagle Bluff, Irving Pertzsch, Northern Hills, and the Grand Finales at the Omni Center and the Houser YMCA. Tickets will be handed out at 6:00 am on the day of registration. INTERESTED IN ADVENTURE DAY CAMP? Current families may register for Day Camp during any of the three registration days listed above for La Crosse, Holmen, and Onalaska locations. SUMMER SCHOOL AGE CARE AGES 5 TO 12 YEARS OLD LEARN, GROW, AND THRIVE Enjoy summer with the YMCA! There is something for everyone in our Summer School Age Program including swimming, weekly field trips, arts & crafts, S.T.E.M. experiments, reading and learning challenges. Your child will build relationships with our caring and nurturing staff as well as create lifelong memories with their peers. We offer the highest quality of youth programming by combining state licensing and Youngstar requirements while carrying out the Y Mission. Looking ahead to Summer 2018 *All locations do field trips for Week 9 on Wednesday, August 1 and • Hours of operation: 6:30 am to 6 pm (Holmen and Bangor begin at 6:15 am). Week 10 on Friday, August 10 • First day of programming may change due to availability of the building sites. **The Northern Hills location does not offer full-day care July 9-27. GOING BIG AT LONGFELLOW - A PLACE FOR OLDER KIDS As a way to tailor programming toward the interests of older children, we encourage La Crosse families to enroll their older students (8years+) at the Longfellow Summer location. Longfellow is still open to all, including younger siblings, but parents may find this the perfect option for children looking for an older peer group and a more challenging Summer experience. SUMMER SCHOOL AGE SWIM LESSONS We are pleased to offer swimming lessons this summer to our Summer School Age participants as part of their day at the YMCA! Below you will find session and price information. Financial assistance is also available for swimming lessons, the discount will be applied at the time of registration. Registration for Swim Lessons will be available at Summer School Age Registration. ADVENTURE DAY CAMP ADVENTURE DAY CAMP AGES 7 TO 13 YEARS OLD EXPERIENCE, EXPLORE, AND DISCOVER! Adventure Day Camp provides an exciting and diverse outdoor experience that will engage children throughout the summer! With each day comes a new opportunity for campers to discover the world around them through outdoor adventures. Caring and encouraging YMCA role models will lead campers through various weekly activities—including canoeing, hiking, fishing, teambuilding challenges, and outdoor education. With new friends and challenges around every corner, Adventure Day Camp is the perfect way to keep children engaged and learning throughout the summer. Ages: 7-13 YEARS OLD Program Dates: June 6 to August 22 La Crosse: 7am-4:30pm Location: Pick up and drop off available at both YMCA locations Member Fee: 1st Child $179 2nd Child $133 MEALS As a leader in healthy initiatives, the YMCA will provide a nutritious breakfast and snack each day. Campers will need to bring a sack lunch each day. DAILY AGENDA A general day in the Day Camp program will consists of the following activities. 7-8:30 am Campers arrive at drop-off locations 8:00 am Breakfast 8:30 am Bus leaves drop-off locations for the day 9:15 am-3 pm Programming at daily site location 3-3:30 pm Bus departs back to YMCA pick-up locations 3:00 pm Afternoon snack 3:30-4:30 pm Campers are picked up Come Explore the Y As a way to enjoy some independence in a safe and supportive environment, campers can use the facilities throughout either YMCA branch after Adventure Day Camp has ended at 4:30 pm. Every camper who chooses to explore the YMCA after 4:30 pm will be introduced to the expectations for conduct and values, be given a tour of the YMCA facilities, and taught how to find information and schedules on their favorite rooms and activities! 6

The deposit is applied to the rate indicated on the registration form. (State Assisted and Financially Assisted Family deposits are included weekly throughout summer) CANCELLATION: SCHOOL AGE AND ADVENTURE DAY CAMP In order to receive a refund, cancellation must be made by Monday, two weeks prior to cancellation. State assisted and F/A will need to pay $20 per week per family to cancel. $20 registration payment is non-refundable. To cancel, please contact Holly Kleiner at childcarebilling@laxymca.org.
