The classes will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and will run until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. This will be the final education seminar provided by the WOA in 2018, with ten hours of excellent continuing education offered. There are two options for registration: (1) Full registration, which includes all education and meals (you must still check off each class and meal you plan to attend), or (2) Partial registration, which allows you to choose courses and meals individually. The regular registration deadline is November 2nd. There is a substantial discount for WOA members. Hotel Information: Please be sure to call the Glacier Canyon Lodge in Wisconsin Dells at 1-800-867-9453 today for your room reservation, and ask for the Wisconsin Optometric Association block. The rates per room are $99/Friday and $115.99/Sat for a double queen couch and $205.99 for a 2 bedroom deluxe. One night’s deposit is due with your reservation. The room block will be released October 9, and the group rate will not be honored after that date. Early reservations are encouraged, as there is a set number of rooms in the block. If the rooms are sold out prior to the release date, you may not be able to get a room at the contracted rate.

4 Featured Speakers Ryan Ames, O.D., MBA Dr. Ryan Ames graduated from ICO in 2007 and joined his family’s practice where he had worked since he was 16 years old. In addition to joining this practice, he has opened a satellite office and also purchased an existing practice. Later he sold his satellite offices and merged his primary office with a colleague where he practices full time today. In 2009 he was awarded “Young Optometrist of the Year” in Wisconsin. His interest in the business side of our profession drove him to earn an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh in 2014. This interest has also led him to medical record documentation and coding lecturing and consulting. He partnered with Dr. Charles Brownlow in 2010 and now runs ForeSight, LLC, a documentation consulting firm. He recently served as a senior advisor for Rev360, an optometric EHR compa- ny. He has served the WOA as a Society President, Director, Treasurer, and Third- Party chair. He currently provides third party counsel to the associations of Wisconsin, Iowa, and Colorado. Murray Fingeret, O.D., FAAO Dr. Murray Fingeret, a graduate of the New England College of Optometry, completed a residency at the Joseph C. Wilson Health Center in Rochester, New York. Dr. Fingeret is Chief of the Optometry Section, Brooklyn/St. Albans Campus, Department of Veter- ans Administration New York Harbor Health Care System. Dr. Fingeret is a Clinical Pro- fessor at the State University of New York, College of Optometry and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Fingeret sits on the Board of Directors of the Glaucoma Foundation and is a member of the American Glaucoma Society, the Ameri- can Optometric Association, and the National Academies of Practice. Dr. Fingeret is a founding member and past-president of the Optometric Glaucoma Society and is the recipient of the 2013 Vincent Ellerbrock Clinician Educator Award from the American Academy of Optometry, 2008 Distinguished Service Award Optometric Glaucoma Soci- ety, 2005 Carel C. Koch Memorial Medal from the American Academy of Optometry, 1999 AMSUS Federal Service Optometrist of the Year award and 1996 Otsuka Glaucoma Educators Award from the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Fingeret sits on the annual meeting program committee, Glau- coma Section, Association in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), the editorial boards for the Journal of Glau- coma, International Glaucoma Review, Glaucoma Today, Primary Care Optometry News, Optometry Times and Review of Optometry and has authored numerous articles and co-authored the texts "Atlas of Primary Eyecare Procedures" and "Primary Care of the Glaucomas". Dr. Fingeret sits on the advisory boards for Carl Zeiss Meditec, Merck, Topcon, Heidelberg Engineering, Optovue, Pfizer, Alcon, and Allergan and receives re- search support from Heidelberg Engineering, Carl Zeiss Meditec, and Topcon. Robert Wooldridge, O.D., FAAO Dr. Wooldridge is the Director of The Eye Foundation of Utah, an optometric co- management center in Salt Lake City, Utah. A graduate of the Indiana School of Op- tometry, he formerly served on the staff of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Wooldridge is a founding member of the Optometric Glaucoma Society, a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. He has served as President of the Utah Opto- metric Association, four terms as President and Education Director of the Mountain West Council of Optometrists and as a Director of the Great Western Council of Op- tometry. As Adjunct Clinical Instructor at several schools and colleges of optometry, he directs the clinical education of optometry students at the Eye Foundation. He is a two- time recipient of the Utah Optometrist of the Year award and currently serves as the UOA Education Committee Chairman. A nationally known speaker, he has provided several hundred lectures over the past thirty years to optometrists across the U.S. and internationally.
WOA Registration Information Things You Need To Know: All courses will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please select either “Full Registration” or “Partial Registration.” There are two choices for registration: Full Registration: One fee, including your choice of meal and all education classes. Partial Registration: You choose which classes and meal you want to attend, and each is priced separately. Please be aware that even if you aren’t taking all of the classes, sometimes doing the full registration is cheaper. Simply select which classes you want to take, and pay the full registration fee. If you plan to attend all of the WOA Primary Care Symposium, full registration is the way to go. If you can only attend a class or two, your best option may be partial registration. Choose the registration option which provides the best price. Please make sure you have provided all necessary information and type or print clearly on the form. Payment must be included with registration forms! Whether you do full or partial registration, you must check which courses and meals you plan on attending. You will only receive tickets for classes and meals that are marked. Confirmation notices will be sent at least two weeks prior to the seminar to all doctors who have pre- registered by the early bird date, listing which classes and meals you have selected. This information will be sent via email or fax to registrants. All classes and meals will require either a ticket or name badge for admittance. Registration deadline is Friday, November 2. No registrations will be allowed on-site. Refunds: Doctors who pre-register and later discover they are unable to attend may obtain a full refund (less a $30 administrative fee), if their written notice of cancellation is received in the WOA office postmarked by November 2, 2018. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received after November 2, 2018. All refund checks will be mailed after the seminar.
