MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER Teena Gates With more than 30 years' experience as a journalist, broadcaster and trainer, Teena Gates has also earned a reputation as an ‘adventurist’ after losing more than half her own body weight in response to a health scare. Her adventures continued to include climbs in the French and Italian Alps, Mount Elgon in Uganda, climbing the highest peak in Europe, Mount Elbrus in Russia and kayaking a white-water rapid in The Nile. Writing of her adventures in her book 'One Foot In Front Of The Other', Teena candidly explores the mental battle that ensued in both losing weight, and in taking on an extreme physical challenge. She recognises how we all 'have our mountains to climb'.
