CERTIFICATION PROGRAM OVERVIEW The information provided below is a brief overview of key elements of the AGMT Certification Program. For complete detail, Pleas see the AGMT Candidate Handbook @ agmtprogram.com Introduction: The Architectural Glass & Metal Technician (AGMT) program is a ANSI accredited personnel certification process featuring a third-party, independent assessment of a glazier’s knowledge and ability. AGMT tests experienced glaziers’ fundamental knowledge, skills, and abilities through written and hands-on assessments. Glazing Technician Competencies: There are 7 major categories that are assessed by the AGMT Certification Program. Program Prerequisites: The AGMT Certification is designed to validate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of an experienced glazier. In order to become an candidate for certification, and applicant must first meet the below Prerequisites: � Read and sign the AGMT Candidate � Possess OSHA 10 certification or higher Agreement � Submit a Photo of applicant � Demonstrate at least 7,500 hours of glazing related work experience Achieving Certification: In addition to meeting the programs Prerequisites, candidates must pass an assessment to become AGMT-certified. The assessment is divided into two tests, a Knowledge-based test (KBT) and a Performance- based test (PBT). Knowledge-based (KBT): The knowledge-based test is a 125-question, multiple choice test for which candidate will have 2 hours to complete. THE BEST OF THE BEST AGMT CERTIFICATION AND GLAZIERS UNION LOCAL 27 MEMBERS Starting in the spring of 2021, select Glaziers’ Local 27 Members began preparing for the Architectural Glass and Metal Technician (AGMT) Certification. The AGMT AGMT Certified Certification, which is ANSI accredited, is designed to validate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of an Ahmet Acik Chris Merrick experienced Glazier.
