The group received USD21,700 from IEEE HAC for the project Hydraulic Ram Pump for Clean Water in Rural Area to the isolated community of aboriginal Jahai tribe in Kg. Sg. Tiang, Royal Belum National Park, Perak. The community which consists of 40 houses has to rely on Temenggor lake and Tiang river for their daily water consumption. MySIGHT Rural Technology is helping them to get clean water by building the hydraulic ram pump taken at the nearest upstream river source located about 2 km away from their village. This is a one year project commencing in September 2018. The group has designed, built and tested the ram pump in Razak Faculty, UTM Kuala Lumpur Campus. The construction and commissioning will be carried out on 15-18th April and will be carried out by volunteers from UTM students The ram pump is ready to be installed in Kg Sg. Tiang, Royal Belum National Park, Perak and staff.
