13TH FEBRUARY 2022
1. Come and worship Christ the King, 2. When our hearts were far away,
come and bow before still he came for us,
Christ the author of all things, left his glory, took our place,
every heart adore suffered on the cross;
Christ the everlasting God. through his death he won our peace.
Reigning at the Father’s side Now no condemnation stands,
from eternity, we are truly free;
wrapped in everlasting light, we were crucified with Christ,
clothed in majesty, we will surely be
the beginning and the end. raised in everlasting life.
Christ our saviour, 3. He will come again in power
King of glory and of grace, with authority,
reign for ever, sin and death will be destroyed
you are worthy of our hearts’ in his victory,
unending praise. we will see him face to face.
Every tongue will cry in awe,
every bended knee
will acknowledge he is Lord,
then our hearts will be
lost in everlasting praise.

PSALM 27:1-8
The Lord is my light and my salvation -
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life -
of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked advance against me
to devour me,
it is my enemies and my foes
who will stumble and fall.
Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident.
One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent

above the enemies who surround me;
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the Lord.

be merciful to me and answer me.
My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”

CONFESSION
O King enthroned on high,
filling the earth with your glory:
holy is your name,
Lord God almighty.
In our sinfulness we cry to you
to take our guilt away,
and to cleanse our lips to speak your word,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

4APOSTLES’ CREED
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
