Preparedness Assessments - Objectives The main objective is to support Clusters’ priority preparedness activities through providing the Shelter/NFI/CCCM Cluster with an independent preparedness assessment information in-line with the Cluster strategic objectives 93% In addition, it is also guided by the following sub objectives: 1. To identify exchange and remittance companies (list) working in targeted areas and their willingness to respond to the worst humanitarian scenarios. 2. To identify (list) suppliers for non-cash vouchers and the availability of providers of non-food items and confirm their willingness to respond to the worst humanitarian scenarios. 3. To identify (list) local community-based organizations (LCBOs) and to confirm their willingness to respond to the worst humanitarian scenarios. 4. To list the local official leaders that need to be involved in the Communication with Community. 5. To assess the real estate market's capacity to absorb additional households within the target areas, and to determine the market value (rent value) in the targeted areas. 6. To assess the Community trends to host additional households.

Preparedness Assessments – Recommendations/Challenges Recommendations: ü Coordinate provision of integrated response to displaced families living with very 93% difficult economical situation due to lack of income, fear of loss of housing, lack of food or lack of access to basic services. ü Support highly vulnerable families with livelihood grants to be able to have livestock as example in rural areas and small shops in cities in order to be dependent on themselves. ü Improve the shelter of IDPs particular for those living in rented accommodation. Challenges: ü Delay and inability to obtain the necessary permits for some locations affected the implementation timeline and resulted in suspension in some other locations.

Update on the HPF 2nd Standard Allocation Parameter 2: Scaling up assistance in priority IDP collective sites • Joint parameter for the Projectized integrated response with all Clusters under the lead of the Shelter/NFI/CCCM Cluster. • 88 IDP hosting sites out of 160 sites verified were prioritized which falls under the critical and high severity of needs in 25 districts and 10 Governorates. The prioritized sites are providing accommodation to over 11,000 families / 53,000 individuals. List of sites are available in the following link: https://goo.gl/MZhRwr • 5 HPF Eligible Partners are applying in this parameter. • Activities are in-line with the minimum integrated response package.
Update on the HPF 2nd Standard Allocation Parameter 3: Scaling-up first line assistance in areas of new displacement and return • In expectation of new waves of displacement, this allocation will give priority on covering first-line, and where appropriate second-line activities in areas receiving newly displaced families or returnees. • Return response is focused in Al Hudaydah governorate. • Locations, estimated needs and coverage / links with RRM, displacement projection and draft HRP 2019. • 14 Partners expressed interest to submit proposals under this parameter.
