FROM THE DUGOUT WAYNE JEROME Good afternoon and a warm welcome to Consol Stadium Raleigh Grove for the start of the 20/21 season. During these strange times it’s great to finally get some kind of normality back and hopefully enjoy some football again. An extended welcome goes out to the players, officials and supporters of Portishead Town. I hope you had a good journey to today’s game, and I hope you enjoy your short stay with us today and wish you all a safe journey home. With the abrupt ending to the 19/20 season we are eager to continue where we left off and look to build on some the excellent performances and results that the team achieved last year. I am in the fortunate position of retaining all of last year’s squad and have added to it with some exciting new additions. We go in today’s game after a good preseason schedule and following an excellent victory over higher league opposition Street in the FA Cup here on Wednesday night. The game was played in front of an excellent crowd and enjoyed by all. Your match day support is always appreciated by the club and the team and we hope to see you all a little more during this season’s campaign. I hope you all enjoy today’s game and give strong support to the boys.
