Media Operations Manual Credentials Final Four Credentials For national, international and Minneapolis-area media, the deadline to submit a Final Four credential ap- plication was Friday, March 1, 2019. For media members who cover a participating institution, please note the procedure for receiving creden- tials: During the course of the season and again after the bracket is announced at 6 p.m. Eastern time Sunday, March 17, each participating institution’s sports information director will instruct media members who meet NCAA criteria to sign up for inclusion on the team’s media list via the NCAA’s online credential system. Me- dia members have until 6 p.m. Eastern time Monday, March 18 to sign up for inclusion on the list for a team playing in a First Four game, or in a first-round game (for the 60 teams not playing in the First Four). If the team that a media member covers advances to the next site (i.e. wins a First Four game in Dayton to advance to a first-/second-round site, wins a second-round game to advance to a regional site, or wins a regional final to advance to the Final Four), they must sign up for inclusion on the team media list again. The deadline for signing up for inclusion on the team media list for a regional site is 6 p.m. Eastern time Monday, March 25, and the deadline for signing up for inclusion on the team media list for the Final Four is 6 p.m. on Monday, April 1. Media Access to U.S. Bank Stadium Standard credentials issued by the NCAA are required for access to U.S. Bank Stadium from Sunday, March 31 through Monday, April 8 and are required to be worn at all times while in the stadium. A media credential permits admittance to U.S. Bank Stadium through any entrance. Requests for entry into U.S. Bank Stadium from Sunday, March 31 through Wednesday, April 3 should be made via email to David Worlock (dworlock@ncaa.org). Final Four Credentials Will Again Include Photos At the Final Four only, photos will appear on everyone’s credential. Media members who do not submit a photo through the online credentialing system will have the opportunity to have their photo taken at the credential distribution tent located on the northwest side of U.S. Bank Stadium (on the northwest corner of Chicago and 4th Streets) during normal credential distribution hours. However, those who do so may have extended delays in line and longer waits to pick up their credential. You are strongly encouraged to submit a photo during the online application process. Credential Zoning System Once again, the NCAA will use a zoning system, with various areas of U.S. Bank Stadium designated with numbers and letters. Those holding credentials will only have access to the numbered/lettered areas on their credential. Generally, members of the media will be assigned credential zones that will provide them access to public areas, working media areas (which includes back-of house locations and the press box), team locker rooms (during designated times only), courtside media seating, and the court/deck during ap- proved times. All zones will be designated by the NCAA. 4 NCAA.COM/FINAL-FOUR
