The eLaLiga Santander Fan Cup (“Competition”) is sponsored by Electronic Arts Swiss (“EA”), a Swiss company based at Place du Molard, 8, 1204 Geneva, Switzerland, and produced by FANDROID ENTERTAINMENT, S.L.U., a Spanish company , based at con nº B-64910292 y con dirección principal en Av. Diagonal, 177-183, 08018, Barcelona, España and is governed by these eLaLiga Santander Fan Cup Official Rules (“Official Rules”). The Competition is a video game competition conducted using EA SPORTS FIFA 21 and FIFA Online 4 (“Game”) for PC and PlayStation 4 (“Supported Platforms”). 1. General structure of the competition It is an amateur competition that is open to resident of a total of 16 countries : Spain, Mexico, Russia, Egypt, Ecuador, Colombia, South Africa, USA, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Turkey, China, Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea (the “Eligible Countries”) which will span 3 regions (America, EMEA and Asia). America and EMEA competitions will be played in FIFA 21 and Asia competitions will be played in FIFA Online 4. 1.1 National Online Tournaments A total of two (2) tournaments will be held in each country. The tournaments will be held to direct elimination with matches for the best of 3 games played through the eLaLiga.gg website, except for Vietnam, China and Thailand (to be played outside the eLaLiga website). 1.1.1. Tournament results and qualification for Regional Finals The winner of each tournament will qualify for the regional final on behalf of his or her country (in the case that there is only one place, a match will be played between the winner of each of the tournaments). The qualification to the regional finals will be as follows: Regional Final Americas (LAS y LAN) -4 qualified from USA (LAN) -4 qualified from Brazil (LAS) -2 qualified from Ecuador (LAS) -2 qualified from Argentina (LAS) -2 qualified from Colombia (LAN) -2 qualified from Mexico (LAN) EMEA Regional Final
-2 qualified from South Africa -2 qualified from Saudi Arabia -2 qualified from Russia -1 qualified Turkey -1 qualified from Egypt Asia Regional Final -2 qualified from South Korea -2 qualified from China -2 qualified from Vietnam -2 qualified from Thailand 1.2) Regional Final The players qualified through the national tournaments of each region will play a regional final. EMEA and Asia regional final to be held in person (Istanbul and China). The Americas Regional Final will be divided into two online events (LAN and LAS). The regional final will be played in a double elimination format (loser bracket) in FIFA Ultimate Team. The two finalists from each region will go on to the Grand Final. 1.3) Grand Final The two (2) regional finalists of EMEA and ASIA, the winner of each Americas Final (LAN and LAS), together with the two (2) who have qualified through the tournaments in Spain, will play a live final in Madrid on 8 May 2021. 2. Participation requirements 2.1. Player requirements Players must register at fancup.eLaLiga.gg (the “Registration Site”) in order to participate in the eLaLiga Santander Fan Cup. Players may register from October 19, 2020. Players who meet the requirements described in this section (individually, "Player" or "Competitor") must: • - Have FIFA 21 for PlayStation 4 or have access to the game (or FIFA Online 4 for Asian tournaments) • - Have a valid game account.
• - Agree to EA's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy available at privacy.ea.com/en (the "Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy") and the User Agreement located at https://tos.ea.com/legalapp/WEBTERMS/US/es/PC/ (the "User Agreement"); • - Register a valid EA Account to qualify for participation and accept these Official Rules prior to entering the Competition. • - Comply with age and residency requirements. Players must register with their valid EA Account and accept these Official Rules on the Registration Site to be eligible to enter the Competition. In addition, Players must choose a unique nickname by which they will be identified, this must be unique and may, but does not have to, be the same as their game account. This nickname may not contain any vulgarities. These Official Rules may be updated without notice as necessary during the Competition for the benefit of the Competition and include, but are not limited to: add further clarity, correcting mistakes, respecting changes in applicable law, or addressing issues that may arise after the first publication. The objective of the updates shall be to ensure that the eLaLiga Santander Fan Cup is fair to all Competitors. EA reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Competition or any part thereof if fraud, technical failures or any other factor affects the integrity or proper functioning of the Competition, including the safety of Players or fairness of the Competition, as determined by EA in its sole discretion. EA reserves the right to disqualify any Competitor who manipulates the operation of the Competition or any live event or who acts in a manner that violates these Official Rules. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Competition may be considered a violation of criminal or civil law and if such an attempt is made, EA reserves the right to seek damages and other compensation (including legal representation expenses) from the person making such an attempt, to the fullest extent allowed by law. By participating in the Competition, Competitors must agree to be bound by these Official Rules, as well as by the decisions of the Competition administrators and officials. In the case of Competitors who are minors in their country of residence, the parent or legal guardian must review and accept the Official Rules on their behalf and authorise travel to attend the live events. The travel and accommodation costs of the participant and accompanying person associated with participation in the live events will be borne by the tournament organizer.
Employees of EA, LaLiga and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, advertising and promotion agencies, FIFA and immediate family members or those living in the same household as such employees may not participate in the Competition. 2.2. Age requirements In order to participate in the Competition, Competitors must be at least 16 years old at the time of registration and at least the minimum age required to have a full EA Account (not underage) in their country of residence. In the case of Competitors who are minors in their country of residence, the parent or legal guardian must review and accept the official Rules on their behalf. 2.3. Residence Requirements In order to compete in the eLaLiga Santander Fan Cup on a fair and equal basis, all Players must be resident of one of the Eligible Country and play their respective matches from within the Eligible Country of the tournament to which they are registered. Players must provide proof of residence in order to determine their eligibility to compete in the Competition. EA and LaLiga, in its sole discretion, will determine the adequacy of such proof or documentation. Throughout the competition, Competitors invited to participate in live events, as further defined under section 1, will be required to sign and return a Declaration of Suitability and attest to their residence. 3. Online Match Rules 3.1. Game mode All matches must be played through the FIFA 21 Online Friendly Season where all players have the same ratings. Only teams from LaLiga Santander or LaLiga Smartbank may be used. For FIFA Online 4 games you must use the Fantasy Mode squad and only LaLiga Santander and LaLiga Smartbank players can be used. The local player must add their opponent and send them an invitation to play. All games will use the default FIFA 21 or FIFA Online 4 Friendly Season settings. All games must be set to 6 minutes per party except for FIFA Online 4 which will be played at the pre-defined time.
3.2. Attendance The players have 15 minutes to add their opponent and start the game. If a player is not present after 15 minutes, he will lose the play-off. 3.3. Match format The matches will be for the best of 3 games. In the event of a draw in a game, extra time and penalties must be played. The first player to win in two games will be the player who passes the round. 3.4. Changes of formation Players will be able to make changes to their line-up throughout the course of the match. 3.5. Replacement of players Substitutions are not allowed in the first 6 minutes (45 minutes into the game), except in the case of a player being sent off. In this case, the user whose player has been sent off may make a change at that time. 3.6. Prohibited cards No attribute enhancement or training card may be used in any of the matches in the competition. Chemistry style cards are allowed. No loaned-out players may be kept in the squad during the competition. 3.7. Limitation of players Players in the FIFA 21 Competition will only be able to use FIFA 21 teams currently competing in the LaLiga Santander or the LaLiga Smartbank. Players in FIFA Online 4 Competition will only be able to have players in their squad who are currently competing in LaLiga Santander or LaLiga Smartbank (both regular and substitute players). In addition, each player will be able to use a maximum of 4 players from the icon category, who must have previously participated in the competition corresponding to LaLiga Santander or LaLiga Smartbank. Failure to comply with any of the above points will result in the loss of the qualifying round.
4. Official Rules Enforcement Unless otherwise specified, the Code of Conduct detailed in Appendix A applies to all Competitors in the eLaLiga Santander Fan Cup. Periodically, EA Accounts, rankings and game data are audited for cheating and malicious behaviour. Any Player may be immediately disqualified from competition and subsequent phases at the sole discretion of EA or its designees for any reason, including, but not limited to, breach of the User Agreement, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, and the Code of Conduct. Examples of prohibited behaviors, as well as potential penalties are detailed in the Code of Conduct attached in Appendix A. EA, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any Player at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Competition, or acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner and reserves the right to void all associated entries. EA’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. 5. Referee 5.1. Arbitrator's authority The matches will be controlled by a referee, who will have full authority to enforce the rules of the game during the competition. 5.2. Decisions of the referee Decisions will be made to the best of the referee's ability according to the rules of the game and these regulations. The rules of the competition and the spirit of the game shall be based on the opinion of the referee, who has the discretion to make appropriate decisions within the framework of the rules of the game. The decisions of the referee on facts connected with the game, including the remake, the resumption or not of a game and the result of the match, are final. 5.3. Disciplinary measures The referee shall take disciplinary action against Players who commit violations described in the Code of Conduct and/or are cautioned or sent off. The referee shall have the authority to take disciplinary action from the time he begins a pre-match inspection until he leaves the field after the end of the match (which includes breaks and rests between games). If, prior to entering a game, a player commits a sending-off offense, the referee has the authority to prevent the player from participating in the match. The referee shall make a report of any
misconduct. 6. General terms and disclaimer By participating in this Competition, every Competitor agrees: To the extent permitted by law, to assume all responsibility for any damages suffered by the Competitor, including personal injury and property damage, actually or allegedly caused by his/her participation in any phase of the Competition or by the acceptance, possession or use of any prize. The Competition is governed by the laws of Spain and all claims must be settled in Spain. 6.1. Personal information The personal data of Competitors registered for the Competition will be treated by LaLiga and EA in accordance with the eLaLiga Santander Fan Cup Privacy Policy, the aforementioned Policy being a document independent from the present Regulations. By participating in eLaLiga Santander Fan Cup, Competitors agree that EA will process their personal information (including name, address, date of birth, EA Account Name, Platform Username, PlayStation™ Network ID, email address, FUT Champions results, Country of Play, Team of Play, country of residence) in accordance with EA's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy available at privacy.ea.com/es. If Personal information has been collected from Players by an organizing entity, Players agree to the organizing entity transferring such information to EA. Personal information will be used and processed as described in the EA Privacy and Cookie Policy, including for the purposes of: ● - To organize, develop and monitor the running of the Competition and the prize fulfilment, including in the case of Competitors who win a prize, the publication of their names and countries of residence online or in any other media related to the Competition as described below. ● - Any additional processing activities accepted by the Competitor, such as sharing information with third parties, including for travel booking, soliciting feedback on the Competition and on the mechanics and functions of EA SPORTS FIFA titles, subject to the privacy policies applicable to the relevant entities. Personal information will be processed in Spain and possibly in any country in which EA, its affiliates or third-party agents operate, including the United States. By entering the Competition, you agree that your personal information may be transferred to recipients in the United States and other countries that may not offer the same level of privacy protection as the laws of the country in which you reside or are a citizen, as further explained in the EA Privacy and Cookie Policy. Players have the right to access, withdraw, and correct their personal information.
Players may request such action by contacting the appropriate Privacy Policy Administrator for their country listed at https://privacyadmin.ea.com. If Player’s country is not listed, please contact the Privacy Policy Administrator in the United States at privacy_policy@ea.com. You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and, where applicable, opposition, portability and restriction of processing, by contacting the Data Protection Officer at the following email: DPO@ea.com. In your message, be sure to refer to “RGPD – eLaLiga SANTANDER.” You are advised that you have the right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency. Applicability of EA User Agreement and Privacy and Cookie Policy: Player’s participation in the Competition is also governed by the User Agreement found at terms.ea.com. If there is any conflict between these Official Rules and the Privacy and Cookie Policy and User Agreement, then the Privacy and Cookie Policy or User Agreement, as applicable, will control. 6.2. Publication of the winner's information EA will post the names of confirmed winners online one to two weeks after each live event at www.eLaLiga.gg. The Competitor grants EA and LaLiga the right to use their personal information and other data provided by the Competitor without receiving consent or offering compensation to the Competitor for marketing and promotional purposes. By accepting a prize, Player grants EA the right to use their personal information, and any other information provided by Player, without further consent or compensation to Playser, for the administration, marketing, and promotion of the Competition, EA, and/or the Game, unless otherwise noted below: • Background info: Full name, country of residency, age, Supported Platform Username (e.g., Xbox Live Gamertag or PSN ID), position on monthly leaderboard in the month of qualification. • Football fandom info: Favorite professional football club, favorite professional football player, favorite FUT player item. • Social Media info: Twitter handle, YouTube channel, and Twitch account, Instagram username (if applicable). • Photos: Any photos provided by Player to EA or photos of Player taken onsite at a Live Event. • Other Information for tournament administration only: Shirt size, dietary restrictions, mobile phone number. EA may provide Player’s EA Account Information (name, Supported Platform ID, age, country of residence, game play stats and scores, and email address) to FIFA, and FIFA may use the account information for the purposes of administering the Competition (such as the FIFA eWorld Cup), including without limitation that FIFA may contact Player by email and/or other means. 6.3. Commercial Rights
● - All commercial rights (including, but not limited to, marketing and media rights) related to the Competition and FIFA 21 Global Series belong to EA. ● - Competitors may not associate with the Competition or FGS or EA in a commercial manner, use EA's intellectual property rights, or allow others to do so without EA's prior written consent, which EA may grant or deny in its sole discretion. ● - Any Competitor or Competitor's sponsor who wishes to participate in promotional or marketing activities related to the Competition, including in any venue, requires EA's prior written consent, which the company may grant or deny in its sole discretion. ● Registration and disclosure of images or footage of the Competition for commercial purposes by or on behalf of the Competitor is strictly prohibited, except as expressly authorized by EA or LaLiga. 7. Awards In the national online tournaments and in the regional final there will be no monetary prizes beyond access to the next phase of the competition. In the Gran Final the total prize money will be 10,000 Euros. Players will receive a prize payment form if eligible for prizing. Players must complete this form within 90 days or prize money may be forfeit and donated to a charity on the Player’s behalf. Prizes are not transferable. No substitution of prizes for other goods and services is permitted, except that EA reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of approximately equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable or not allowed by local law. All federal, state, provincial and local taxes, and international tariffs, are the sole responsibility of the individual winner. Potential winners will be required to complete and sign a Prize Winner Declaration and Release within 90 days of completion of the Live Event in order to claim the prize. If a potential winner fails to sign and/or return the Declaration and Release, refuses the prize, is ineligible to accept the prize, or the prize is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize. Failure to communicate banking information or delivery method to prize distribution vendor in a timely manner may result in forfeiture of the prize. If a winner is considered a minor in his or her territory of residence, winner’s parent or legal guardian (as required by law) will be required to sign all necessary documents upon verification of identification. Receiving a prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. In the event a potential winner is disqualified, or the prize is forfeited for any reason, EA retains the discretion to donate the applicable prize to a charity of EA’s choosing. Potential winners may be required to provide a valid shipping address to claim prize. Allow up to three (3) months for delivery of prizes.
In the event EA cancels or suspends the Competition pursuant to Section 2.1 above, prizes will be awarded for all events prior to such cancellation or suspension. 8. Participating in Live Events During the Competition, eligible Players who qualify and/or are invited to compete in the Competition will engage in gameplay that may be broadcasted over the internet or other media, as well as involve competition at live venues (“Live Events”). 8.1. Participating in Remote Broadcast Events For Remote Broadcast Competition organized online, qualified and invited Players will be requested to stream live video footage of Player and gameplay footage to a designated location.. To be eligible to participate in such Remote Broadcast competition, qualified and invited Players will have to sign and return a Declaration of Eligibility to Participate, according to the terms of section 8.3 below. 8.2 Travel for Competing in In-Person Live Events EA may provide travel accommodations for qualified and invited Players to the Live Events at EA’s expense. For Players with travel expenses paid by EA, the selection of transportation carriers, hotels, and/or related transfers will be in EA’s sole discretion. EA reserves the right to provide ground transportation instead of airfare based on a Player’s travel distance from a Live Event. If a Player requests special travel or accommodation plans, such as different travel dates, different carriers, or departure/arrival cities other than the designated city for the tournament, and if the cost of the special travel request exceeds that of the standard tournament travel plans, EA may require the Player to cover the difference in cost. Receiving travel accommodations is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. If a Player is disqualified or travel is forfeited for any reason, EA may award that Player’s travel and accommodations to an alternate Player, who may assume that Player’s place in the Competition. Incidentals for travel, including, without limitation: telephone calls, facsimile charges, Internet charges, spa/beauty salon services, laundry, tours/excursions, gift shop purchases, hotel processing fees, airline service charges and any other expenses not mentioned in these Official Rules are the sole responsibility of the Player or parent/guardian, and the Player may be asked to account for any such incidental charges by providing the applicable hotel with a credit card. Hotel and airfare cannot be used separately. Travel and accommodations are subject to availability and certain restrictions. Any extra nights’ stay and any additional costs associated with an extended stay are the sole responsibility of the Player or parent/guardian. Valid passports and/or other travel documentation may be required, which is the responsibility of each Player. Additional
restrictions may apply. 8.3 Declaration of Eligibility Players must sign: - A Declaration of Eligibility to Participate for online Live Events, or - A Declaration of Eligibility to Travel for In-person Live Events prior to accepting travel accommodations to Live Events. Together the “Declaration of Eligibility”. The Declaration of Eligibility will be provided to Players via email to the email address associated with Player’s EA Account. If a Player does not complete the Declaration of Eligibility within seven (7) calendar days of attempted notification, fails to sign and/or return the Declaration of Eligibility within the required time period, refuses travel or participation, is ineligible to accept travel or to participate, or is unavailable to travel or participate on dates appropriate to the Live Events, the Player forfeits travel accommodations or its participation, as well as their place in the Competition. If a Player is a minor in his or her territory of residence, the Player’s parent or legal guardian will be required to sign all necessary documents to accept travel or participation, and must accompany the Player to the In-Person Live Events. In these instances, travel accommodations will include additional airfare for one (1) parent or legal guardian. Player and parent/legal guardian must travel together on the same itinerary and will share hotel accommodations. APPENDIX A: CODE OF CONDUCT The below Code of Conduct applies to all Players in the Competition at all levels of the Competition, unless otherwise specified. EA reserves the right to levy penalties, sanction, or disqualify any Player in violation of this Code of Conduct in its sole discretion. As a Verified player, Players may be held to a higher standard than other players, and may face higher levels of penalties than they would otherwise. A1. PLAYER BEHAVIOR GENERALLY Players must conduct themselves in a reasonable manner, maintaining an appropriate and respectful demeanor to spectators, members of the press, tournament administrators, and to other Players. Players are required to conduct themselves in accordance with commonly accepted standards of decency, social conventions, and morals, and not to commit any act or become involved in any situation or make any statement which brings disrepute, contempt, scandal, ridicule, or distain to the Player, EA, the Competition, or to its Players and sponsors. These requirements apply to live, offline, and online interactions, in and out of the Competition, including with respect to social media conduct and activity on live streams,
past conduct and during Events. All Players are expected to adhere to these standards of sportsmanship and the EA Rules of Conduct, available at https://terms.ea.com, at all times, including when not participating in EA sanctioned events. EA Accounts, the leaderboard and match data may be audited, including for malicious behavior and cheating. Any Competitor may be disqualified immediately from the Competition and related competitions, at the discretion of EA or its designees, for any reason, including for any failure to comply with the EA User Agreement, EA Privacy and Cookie Policy, and Rules of Conduct, which may include but are not limited to: Player Conduct: • Abusive or disorderly behavior, including any use of harassing, negative, or profane language online; • Harassing, threatening, intimidating, bullying, engaging in hate speech, repeatedly sending unwanted messages, or making personal attacks or statements about race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc.; • Publishing, posting, uploading or distributing content, or organizing/participating in any activity, group or guild that EA (acting reasonably and objectively) determines is inappropriate, abusive, hateful, harassing, profane, defamatory, threatening, obscene, sexually explicit, infringing, privacy-invasive, vulgar, offensive, indecent or unlawful; • Use vulgar or offensive language; • Abusive behavior, including harassment and verbal threats; Abusive or disorderly behavior, including any use of harassing, negative, or profane language online, consistent negative, insulting, annoying, trolling, spamming, targeted, and unwanted commentary directed toward an individual or group; • Any action which would impact negatively the Competition broadcast In-Game Conduct: • Using any cheats, hacks or other third-party "helper" applications in playing the Game; • Intentionally disconnecting from the Internet during any Game match; • Colluding with other players in playing Game matches; • Taking advantage of known exploits in the Game (it is the responsibility of players to understand and avoid all current illegal exploits); • Selectively matching up against the same opponent repeatedly; • Using any software or program that damages, interferes with or disrupts the Competition or another's computer or property; • Any external software designed to give the competitor an unfair advantage; • Interfering with or disrupting another Player's participation in the Competition; • Publishing, posting, uploading or distributing content, or organizing/participating in any activity, group or guild that EA (acting reasonably and objectively) determines is inappropriate, abusive, hateful, harassing, profane, defamatory, threatening, obscene, sexually explicit, infringing, privacy-invasive, vulgar, offensive, indecent or unlawful; • Using exploits, cheats, undocumented features, design errors or bugs in the Competition;
• Selling, buying, trading or otherwise transferring or offering to transfer an EA account, any personal access to EA services, or any EA content associated with an EA account, including EA virtual currency and other entitlements, either within an EA service or on a third-party website, or in connection with any out-of-game transaction, unless expressly authorized by EA; • Playing on behalf of another Player, or allowing someone else to play on Player’s behalf, in any competitive game mode. General Conduct: • Statements or references that go beyond constructive criticism and seeks to inappropriately disparage, denigrate, abuse, contest or insult EA, EA’s Partners, or sponsors, or their employees or contractors. • Gambling, including betting on the outcome of Competition matches; • Disclosing any confidential information provided by EA or any of its affiliates; • Accepting or giving gifts, bribes, rewards, or compensation for services that are rendered in connection with competing in the Competition (with an exception for Players with sponsors who pay them based on their performance); • Causing or contributing to scandal, reputational harm or risk to the integrity and reputation of the Competition or EA; • Engaging in any other activity that significantly disturbs the peaceful, fair and respectful gaming environment of the Competition; • Promoting, encouraging or taking part in any prohibited activity described above; • Violating any applicable law, rule or regulation, as determined by EA in its sole discretion; • Reference to third-party IP, promotions, or partnerships without EA authorization, third-party permission, or proper disclosure. A2. EVENT CONDUCT Players must maintain an appropriate level of respect, in EA’s sole judgment, towards other Players, referees, officials, event staff, and tournament administrators. Threatening or inappropriate behavior towards the referees and the other Players will not be tolerated. Incidents and punishment will be identified at the sole discretion of Competition officials or EA. Players must follow the instructions of Competition officials or EA at all times. Examples of prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to: • Using vulgar or offensive language; • Abusive behavior, including harassment and verbal threats; • Physical abuse, fighting, or any other threatening action directed at any Player, spectator, official or any other person; • Damage and/or abuse to game devices, hardware, peripherals, tournament equipment, or the facility/venue/lodging; • Interfering with or interrupting the broadcast or broadcast production; • Interfering with gameplay, including purposely breaking a game station, interrupting a power supply, leaving a station before the conclusion of a
match, refusing to play, and abuse of in-game pausing; • Failure to cooperate with safety and security requirements, such as metal detectors and bag searches; • Failure to follow instructions given by tournament sponsors, referees, and security personnel at all times; • Gambling, including betting on the outcome of games; • Disclosing any confidential information provided by EA or any of its affiliates; • Accepting gifts, rewards, or compensation for services that are rendered in connection with competing in the Competition (with an exception for Players with sponsors who pay them based on their performance); • Playing any game other than the copy of the Game provided for use in the tournament; • Downloading any software that is not already installed on the provided tournament console; • Using any software or hardware that gives the player a competitive advantage in the competition; and • Failing to be available for any post-tournament awards ceremonies, interviews, and the entirety of the Live Event, as well as any promotional activities reasonably requested by EA or other sponsor. A3. LIVE EVENT DRUG & ALCOHOL POLICY • Player use of alcohol or drugs is prohibited on the premises, and Players may not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while participating. • Smoking, including the use of eCigarettes and vaporizers, is prohibited at all Live Events except in designated areas. A4. LIVE EVENT DRESS CODE • Players must wear attire appropriate to the circumstances (as determined by EA). • Players shall not wear, carry, or bear any items of a political nature, or which in EA's opinion reflect unfavorably upon EA, its partners, or the Competition. • Players shall not carry out any promotional activity or marketing of brands and services in connection with the Competition unless otherwise approved in writing by EA. A5. COLLUSION AND MATCH-FIXING POLICY Any action or agreement to disadvantage other Players in the Competition, to predetermine the outcome of a match, to try to lose a match, to affect the fairness of the Competitionor to limit efforts to win a match is strictly prohibited. Any Players determined by EA to be violating this rule at any phase in the Competition may be removed from the Competition. Such Players may be forced to forfeit or return any compensation and/or prizes and may have their EA and/or Game accounts suspended. Examples of prohibited conduct include, but are not limited to:
Intentionally losing a match for any reason at any time during the Competition. • Playing on behalf of another Player, including using a secondary account, at any time during the Competition. • Any form of match-fixing. • “Soft play,” defined as a Player not giving their best effort or not taking reasonable and fair actions to gain an advantage against their opponent(s) in a match. • Agreeing to split prize money. • Allowing an opponent to score more or less goals than they normally would. A6. RULES ENFORCEMENT AND PENALTIES Violation of these Official Rules and/or the Code of Conduct may, at EA's discretion, result in penalties, change in match results, loss of winner status, and/or forfeiture of prizes. All decisions and rulings of EA relating to the Competition are final and binding. EA reserves the right to penalize any Player in the Competition at any level, at any time for any reason. Penalties may include, but are not limited to, any or all of the following: • Warning • Final Warning • Forfeiture of single match • Forfeiture of all matches • Loss of awards (including prize money and paid travel expenses) • Loss of Competition Rankings and/or Points • Suspension from the Competition • Disqualification from events, qualifiers or weekend leagues • Disqualification from the Competition and future competitions EA also has the right to publicly announce penalties that have been levied on Players, and such Players hereby waive any right of legal action against EA and any of its affiliates. A7. PLAYER SPONSORSHIP Players in the Competition have the ability to acquire and work with promotional sponsors. Promotional Sponsorship is limited, however, to exclude certain categories and industries. If the promotional sponsor falls under one of the below categories, the Player may not display or promote the sponsorship in conjunction with EA, its partners, or the Competition. Subject to these Official Rules and EA’s right in its sole discretion to prohibit, reject, remove, blur, or obscure any mark, logo or signage, Players in the Competition may include the display of promotional sponsors. Players may not display or promote any products or services in conjunction with EA, its partners, or the Competition that offer or are associated with: • Gambling or gambling websites • Alcohol, tobacco, and/or non-“over-the-counter” drugs • FIFA Ultimate Team Coin promoting or selling websites or companies • Unauthorized game key selling websites or companies • High fat, salt, or sugar foods and drinks
• Firearms or any type of weapons • Pornographic or adult material • Products or services from direct competitors of EA, its partners, and its other subsidiary brands The list is illustrative and non-exhaustive. EA reserves the right to add or remove any product or service from the list at any time without notice. A8. PLAYER NAMES Players will be asked to select a unique name to identify themselves for Live Events. This name can be the same as their PSN ID or XBL Gamertag, but is not required to be the same. The name must be unique from other Player names and must not be deemed vulgar by EA and its affiliates. Names must not infringe on a third party’s intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights, or violate the law or EA’s User Agreement.
