And at times the journey’s rough, If you have been badly battered and have But step by step my path unfolds, But my Lord gives me added strength no joy or peace. As my Lord directs my way. When I feel I’ve had enough. Give God your broken pieces, So He will mold them back in place. Tomorrow’s plans I do not know, He gives me solid footing He can make them better than before I only know the minute, When the rocks get in my way, But He will say, “This is the way, One by one I overcome with a touch of His sweet grace. Just have faith, as you walk in it.” Till I see the light of day. If your dreams have been shattered Unexpected boulders come after much struggle and pain. 17 We need only to look upon Jesus’ face ***SENIOR MALE SOLO SPEECH*** To know He is our safe hiding 1. Do you Trust Me? - M.S. Lowndes place. Do you trust me Of all your tribulations, God cares so much for each one When things aren’t going right, Everything that you go through, for us When life deals some painful blows, I am always there my child, So do not panic and do not fuss – When finances are awfully tight? And I will never leave you Allow God to break, to heal and remake Do you trust me So I must ask of you You for the part He wants you to When tragedy comes your way, To see if you believe, take. When you don’t get all the answers, No matter what you face in life, When you bend your knee to pray? You must always trust in me. A vessel so fine it is fit for the King Do you trust me Wondrously beautiful; sealed with When friends don’t understand, His ring – Blood-bought and pure; the When there’s no one you can talk to, Potter’s pride No one to hold your hand? Dressed in white linen; the High King’s bride. Do you trust me When there’s warring in your soul, When there’s darkness all around you And you’re left out in the cold? Do you trust me When evil is against you, When there’s nowhere left to run, And you can’t find the truth? Do you trust me? I need to ask you this, ‘Cause you don’t always know, I’m there in the midst
18 2. The Road of Faith: M.S. Lowndes 3. On the Potter’s Wheel: Deborah Ann Belka Shine your light, O Lord, If we’re to be transformed, So that I may see, on the Potter’s wheel Just where I am heading then as the clay… And what’s in front of me we must be still. Your word is the light, The process is not fast, a lot of time it will take The lamp unto my feet so the Potter’s image It may not light far ahead into us He can make. Nor show me where it’s steep The clay needs to be soft, But it gives enough light it must be willingly pliable For each step I take, so from its worthless state Just enough to see ahead He can make it justifiable. Along this road of faith Once on the Potter’s wheel, For this is what I surely is the clay will wobble to and fro As we walk with Jesus Christ, but, He controls the speed The road that we are travelling on til His mercy begins to flow. Is by faith, not by sight The Potter molds His vessel, and foresees the finished work So shine your light, O Lord if there’s any cracks or flaws… So we may see your way, the clay He is able to rework. Though you only show in part It’s enough for each new day. If we’re willing to be formed, into something beautiful… on the Potter’s wheel we must remain flexible!
