Welcome to Summer 2021 DIRECTIONS PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST YMCA Camp Kern is located approximately It’s finally here! PACKING LIST ADDITIONAL HORSE CAMP ITEMS CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT LOCATIONS - Jeans, breeches or long pants required daily for riding - Sleeping Bag or twin sized bedding - Pillow - Boots with a heel - Summer clothes that can get messy! *Taste of Kern and First Camp should bring these - Underwear and socks (6-7 sets) items and a spare change of clothes in backpack daily. - 2 pairs of shoes ELK LODGE Closed toe required for climbing *Boots and Bits should bring these items and jeans - 1 pair of flip flops (for the shower) or long pants and boots with a heel for daily riding. - Bath towel & wash cloth - Beach towel* ALL ITEMS BROUGHT TO CAMP SHOULD BE LABELED - 1 pair of long pants If your camper forgets or is in need of a required item, alert a - 1 sweatshirt or jacket camp staff member at check-in, we’ll be glad to help. - 2 swim suits* - Rain Gear WHAT NOT TO BRING Main Entrance - White shirt (for vespers) - Cell Phones which includes smart watches, tablets, etc. - Masks - Cash - Electronics - Laundry Bag - Jewelry and other Irreplaceable Items - Sunscreen* - Pets 1 - Bug Spray* - Personal Sporting Equipment, camp will provide everything - Shampoo/Conditioner & Soap - YMCA Camp Kern is nut-free.
