The Foundation has created the Rapid Assessment of Evidence program (RAE) to address requests from
our membership to better understand the validity of claims regarding orthodontic products and procedures.
We have assembled a team of educators/researchers that work in conjunction with the product vendors to
analyze the research conducted on these products when requests are submitted by members.
Our specialty today is being challenged on numerous fronts. Never has it been more important to
support our Orthodontic Specialty through our AAO Foundation. If we are to stay the best dentistry has
to offer and be the experts that everyone looks to for leadership in orthodontics we must support our
faculty and their research.
