MANAGER DAN McNAMARA Afternoon all, Welcome to our first league game of 2022. I would like to extend the welcome to Sam and her backroom staff and players. LOSING £100’s After waiting over 100 days for a league game we now have three in seven days to contend with, which we know is going to be a challenge in itself. Today we host a Derby side who are still flying at the top of the table. After a really close game last time out which could have gone either way, today promises to be another great occasion and I am sure Derby will be looking to revenge that defeat. on your energy bills? It has been a tough few months for the players having not played. We have had various cup games which have kept us ticking over but the lack of league action has been a difficult one to deal with. The turn of the year has seen us complete two more fixtures. Unfortunately we exited the National League Cup on penalties after a very good performance in Liverpool. This weekend saw us beat Knowle Ladies to reach the Semi- Final of the Birmingham County Cup. After reaching the final two years ago only to see it cancelled due to the pandemic, we are delighted to reach the semi-final and are looking Switch supplier in minutes forward to the draw. The reserves have also seen plenty of action over the last few months and have found Free & impartial service £ themselves sitting comfortably on top of the table as it stands. Some very impressive £ performances have seen some reserves training with the first team and even making senior debuts, with Daisy Wickett appearing last weekend. CAPTAIN ANNA PRICE Good afternoon everyone. Firstly we would like to wish all our supporters a happy new year and we are so pleased to welcome you back to Castlecroft. We can’t wait to get back to league action today after such a lengthy break. The cup competitions have been great and have given us all the opportunity to get minutes under our belt and come up against opposition that we don’t usually come across. However there is nothing like a league game and we have waited a long time for it. We have been working hard in training in preparation for today and we will be giving it our all on the pitch against a very experienced, established Northern Premier side. Taking any points off Derby today will be a fantastic achievement, we are well aware of the quality they will bring. We hope you enjoy the game and thank you again for the continued support.
