Welcome to the Discover & Grow Brochure! As we enter 2021, the pastors feel burdened that we grow deep as disciples of Jesus. We will switch from our community group system to the enclosed classes in the winter and spring. In the fall, we will resume community groups. Below is our NC3 Discipleship process. We have four core classes that will be offered twice a year. (Discovery 101-104) We would like those who are a part of our community to attend those in your journey. The front door is Discover NC3 which gives you an overview of our community and discipleship process. We also will be offering a variety of elective classes that will further grow you roots deeper as you follow Jesus. The Bible is the best-selling book of all time. But what was once known as The Good Book that tells us the truth about life is now frequently called into question. Aren’t there errors and contradiction in the Bible? What about some extra books I’ve heard about, like the Gospel of Thomas? Who decided what book made it into the Bible anyway? Can we really trust the Bible translations we have? Hasn’t it been tampered with over the years? Thankfully there are answers, good answers to these questions which don’t have to trip up faith. Over four weeks we’ll look at: The selection process for the New Testament Books The formation of the Old Testament Understanding errors, contradictions and variants The multi-authorship (human and divine) of the Bible The claims of editing and/or tampering in the Bible Jim’s hope is that after this class you’ll not only be better informed, but you’ll have confidence in the Bible as God’s Word. How often have we used or said any of these phrases? Did we mean it? Was it heartfelt? Did we understand the weight of these words placed against the backdrop of racial history? These rhetorical questions are easy to answer when no one is around to hear them. But what happens when our true, honest answers come face to face with our surrounding reality? When you look at your answers to these questions and examine your everyday actions, will you see the missing piece needed to complete the racial puzzle? Can we use your approach to race as a solution to bring oneness in this racial climate? Your answer is probably like mine, No. Well, all hope is not lost. There is a real, viable solution to this ageless problem. God’s Word. Contained in God’s word is the answer to the racial problem…oneness. If you are interested in being a part of the solution, then come join Jay as he leads NC3 in a meaningful deep dive into the racial divide with the idea and hope that we will Embrace Oneness. When: Tuesdays → beginning on Jan. 19th, 6:30-8:00pm Wednesdays → beginning Jan. 20th, 1:00-2:30pm Mondays → beginning on March 22nd, 6:30-8:00pm Course Length: 6 Weeks Location: NC3 Lower Level Cost: Free Instructor: Jay Jefferson Sign up on the insert in the front of this booklet, or online @ www.northccc.com
