HURLEY Meet A.J. Christian PROMOTION by Staff Sgt. Michael J. Kelly 132d Wing Public Affairs Clint Hurley, 132d Mission Support Group munitions accountable systems Capt. Adam Christian assumed command of the 132d Security officer, was promoted to Senior Forces Squadron during February UTA, taking over for Lt. Col. Master Sergeant last drill. He looks Rodger Howard who moved to the 132d Mission Support Group. Becoming the security forces commander has been a longtime forward to making a bigger impact goal for Christian since joining the unit. not only on munitions but on the entire 132d MSG. “It was a goal I set 18 years ago. I looked up to the people who sat at the top and knew I wanted to be like them someday,” said Christian. Christian enlisted in the 132d Fighter Wing in 2001 as a security forces defender and deployed twice to Southwest Asia. In 2011, after graduating from Central College in Pella, Iowa, he got the opportunity to commission as an officer. Christian is a traditional Guardsmen but said he’s up for the challenges the position brings to a drill-status-guardsmen. “You have to stay in constant communication with the full time force. You have to have faith in your guys and I’ve got good guys I can rely on,” said Christian. Christian said the squadron is already doing great work and he PLOEGER wants to continue doing bigger and better things while making a difference in the careers of his Airmen. PRMOTION In his civilian career, Christian serves as a deputy sheriff with the Stephanie Ploeger, 132d Medical Group Story County Sheriff’s Department and has spent ten years on the health systems, was promoted to force.
