Who is Annabelle Beckwith…? …and why should you care? As seen at http://yaraconsulting.wordpress.com And http://www.youtube.com/user/YaraConsulting !!!
Biography Annabelle Beckwith is a leading personal and professional development provider to businesses and individuals. She didn’t start out that way, though… her chequered career has included a stint as a petrol pump attendant, as a telesales rep selling advertising space in an unknown local directory in the Midlands, work on daytime TV, as an MP’s researcher, in PR, and finally as head of marketing and fundraising at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Then fate took a hand and pushed her into the world of training and development. Her methods are usually experiential…and occasionally off-the-wall. She prides herself on being not only a training and development facilitator, but something of an ‘agent provocateur’, challenging individuals and organisations to get over themselves in order to move forward. Her work in training, development and coaching has been in both the public and private sectors, working with individuals and groups at all corporate levels for organisations including BAE Systems, Rolls Royce, the Ministry of Defence, Smiths Industries Aerospace, the Peugeot Motor Co, Glaxo SmithKline, Royal Bank of Scotland, EDF Energy, Avon Cosmetics and many many more, and it has taken her across the UK and Europe, and to the Middle East. Annabelle is also involved in the development and delivery of enterprise projects within the education sector, helping to prepare young people for work readiness, and plugging some of the gaps in the current education system. She is a regular contributor to online journals, blogs and article directories (examples attached), and is increasingly in demand as a speaker at conferences and events.

Determined to rid the world of ignorance, lack of confidence and career depression, Annabelle is available as a contributor, and to provide comment on the following: Personal development and career coaching: Economic times are tough, and thousands are finding themselves forced into career directions that they hadn’t contemplated. Take time to refocus, setting goals, building confidence, learning new skills and developing resilience and momentum, and develop practical interview and personal presentation skills. Personal impact and ‘brand’ EVERYTHING we do says something about us…and most of us have no idea whatsoever what we’re giving away about ourselves. Whether it’s reading the body language of leading politicians, or advising business executives on their deportment and way of speaking in times of crisis, or explaining how to make a good impression at interviews, Annabelle can. Confidence development: What is confidence and how do we build it? Annabelle can advise on the thought processes that lead to self awareness and confidence, and on ‘fake it till you make it’ behavioural techniques to achieve the same end. Leadership and management: from her considerable experience as a trainer, Annabelle can comment on a wide range of leadership and management issues, including teamworking, time management, handling confllict, influencing and persuading, assertiveness and confidence, communication skills, managing and leading change, giving feedback, performance management …and so on. Business-in-education: in many respects, the education system is simply not equipping young people for the real world. At best, it’s teaching them to be job seekers instead of opportunity seekers. With experience in delivering business-in-education programmes and workshops, Annabelle is well placed to comment on business – education links, and on work readiness and young people’s skills development.
