The City Art Centre sees four new exhibitions which range from ‘hidden gems’ from the City Art Centre’s collection of fine art; work by a number of marvellous contemporary artists; and rare drawings by Edinburgh’s most influential architect, William Henry Playfair. Meanwhile, in Lady Stair’s Close, the Writers’ Museum celebrates the Morris Grassie, The Sou’Westers,Arbroath, c.1957 100th birthday of famous Edinburgh author, Muriel Spark, with Hidden Gems (detail).
