miart – international modern and contemporary art fair miart.it 5 – 7 april 2019 VIP preview: 4 april fieramilanocity, milan viale scarampo – pav. 3, gate 5
intro miart is a fair conceived as a curated and eclectic platform, focused on creating dialogues between contemporary artistic positions, Post-War Masters, emerging talents and collectable design. The careful selection of international galleries ensures that miart is the Italian fair that presents to the public the widest chronology of works, ranging from early 20th century art through to the creations of the most recent generations, fostering a continuous dialogue between past and present creativity. Seven different sections, a rich program of awards, an ambitious series of talks, and exclusive VIP events relive miart 2018 bring to Milan every Spring an international audience of collectors, curators, museum directors, artists, designers, art lovers and journalists. The 24th edition of miart will once again be the catalyst of the Milan Art Week, a weeklong series of openings, events and performances, involving the major public and private institutions in town, its foundations and commercial galleries, non-profit Deweer Gallery, Otegem and artist-run spaces—all entities that make Milan a 3 Photocredit Paolo Valentini vibrant cultural destination.
