Exeter Library Re-opening Exeter Library has had a makeover! Libraries Tasmania is excited to welcome the community into the newly refurbished space, and we thank you for your patience and support while we undertook this upgrade. It means that the community can now enjoy our space and services for many years to come. The upgrade included a new service desk, new carpet, new shelving, painting, new blinds, minor electrical work, and new furniture. We’re so pleased the wooden shelving has also found a good home at the Exeter Girl Guides - who have been able to utilise all of the wooden shelving for use in their Guide Hut - and we know are very appreciative of the donation. A small re-opening of the Exeter Library was recently attended by West Tamar Council Mayor Christine Holmdahl, Counsellors Kearney, Ireland & Shegog, and a few key community stakeholders. Long serving Exeter staff member, Sallie, cut the cake alongside Mayor Holmdahl. Libraries Tasmania would also like to thank West Tamar Council for supporting and investing in the library, with recent works also completed at the rear of the building, alongside landscaping and the inclusion of adjacent public toilets. Come and visit us today and see your fantastic new community space!
