We have lived here for a little over seven years. What first attracted us to Westfield was the great downtown, amazing schools, beautiful homes, so many with history and character, and the neighborhood feel similar to what we both grew up with. What do you love about the town and people of Westfield? That hunch we had about the neighborhood and sense of community was spot on. We love that our boys are always outside playing with their neighborhood friends. They say it takes a village and I’d say we have one of the best! Our neighbors are like our family, whether it’s running over to borrow a cup of sugar or Friday night pizza and beer we know we can always count on them! Fairy Trail has transformed Tamaques Park into a magical place Send photos to: BY TALIE SCHAIBLE, Girl Scout Cadette support@localmedianj.com Visit us on Instagram or Facebook Hello I am Talie Schaible. I am a Cadette from Troop 40452. I have just completed my Girl Scout Silver Award project. My project is a Fairy Trail located @westfieldlocalnj on the White Trail in Tamaques Park , Westfield NJ. It took me close to a year www.facebook.com/westfieldlocalnj to complete it. I needed the permission from the Town Council and the Varsity Vantage # tag your pics #whatsupwestfield Recreation Department to begin. They were so helpful and supportive. The reason I chose this project was due to quarantine. I didn’t leave my house for an eternity. I wanted families to go outside. I wanted them to be able to feel safe in a magical place! So I created a Fairy Trail. 28 WESTFIELD LOCAL + : westfieldlocalnj AUGUST 2021 AUGUST 2021 + : westfieldlocalnj WESTFIELD LOCAL 29

As you can imagine, we were very concerned about delivering our baby during the coronavirus pandemic. We had an absolutely amazing experience. It speaks volumes about the treatment we received when I tell you that the virus was the furthest thing from our minds. We have a beautiful, happy and healthy new daughter, and we’ll be forever grateful. + more Find an OBGYN and learn : westfieldlocalnj at atlantichealth.org/maternity AUGUST 2021
