WORKING WITH COVID AT THE RI-MUHC INFECTION PREVENTION In April 2020, the RI-MUHC opted for a phase approach in order to slowly resume research activities in line with the public health situation regarding the COVID pandemic. Guidelines and applicable rules for working at the RI-MUHC are described in the CTB Guidelines- Phase 3 document (on the RI-MUHC portal. WORKING WITH COVID AT THE RI-MUHC INFECTION PREVENTION Anyone with symptoms of illness Including fever, anosmia, cough, shortness of breath, trouble breathing, sore throat, stomachache, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, major fatigue, significant loss of appetite, generalized muscle pain, headaches. Or anyone who have been directly in contact with a person infected with COVID MUST NOT report to work and call 514-934-1934 ext.44FLU What to do if you have symptoms of COVID-19: Use the Symptom self-assessment tool for COVID-19 (RI_MUHC portal)
WORKING WITH COVID AT THE RI-MUHC INFECTION PREVENTION WEARING A SURGICAL MASK IS MANDATORY everywhere in the RI-MUHC • Change your mask when you arrive at the RI-MUHC. • Change your mask at least every 4h or whenever it is wet, dirty or damaged. • Wear your mask adequately: the mask must cover the nose, the mouth and the chin.
WORKING WITH COVID AT THE RI-MUHC INFECTION PREVENTION KEEP WASHING YOUR HANDS! • Wash your hands often • Wash hands everytime you ENTER and when you LEAVE an area • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. • Cough or sneeze into the bend of your arm. • Avoid touching surfaces people touch often.
WORKING WITH COVID AT THE RI-MUHC INFECTION PREVENTION DISINFECT SURFACES • Lab workspace • Shared equipment • Desks (student rooms) • Tables (lunch rooms and conference rooms) Use 70% ETHANOL Do not spray liquids directly on electronic parts such as keyboards, computers, monitors… Do not use bleach on stainless and metal parts neither on equipment (unless specified by manufacturer)

WORKING WITH COVID AT THE RI-MUHC INFECTION PREVENTION Get vaccinated! Click HERE or visit Clic Santé to take an appointment NOW People vaccinated outside Québec • People vaccinated outside Québec must first record their vaccination in the Québec Vaccination Registry. Once they have done so, they will receive their digital proof of vaccination. To learn more about the registration procedure, see the page Vaccinated for COVID-19 outside Québec: using the Vaccination Registry. • On the clic santé website, the student selects COVID-19 Vaccine – Troubleshooting to book their appointment. • If the information your proof is acceptable, it will be added to the Vaccination Registry and electronic proof of vaccination will be sent to you. Qualifying criteria for receiving the electronic proof are available at Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
