Elyse Springer Provided full-day trainings for LA County Welcome Baby clinicians and basic MMH training for medical staff at Eisner's Women's Clinic. I'm in the midst of IPT (Interpersonal Therapy) certification. (This is one of the few empirically validated therapeutic modalities for perinatal mental health). I continue to co-chair the Governance Subcommittee for MMHN in my role on the Governing Council there. I'm prepping and creating three new trainings for MMHN's Diversity, Determinants & Disparities in Perinatal Mental Health Conference June 19 & 20, 2017. I'll be presenting three breakouts including TOL's and VBAC's, Fathers and Perinatal Loss, and LGBTQIA and perinatal concerns. Spread the word, and please come to the training. Private practice continues to be very busy as world and national events play out. I'm settling into the new role on 2020 Mom's finance subcommittee. I was lucky enough to join the executive board members and other members at the Sacramento unveiling of the white paper from the California Task Force. It was an amazing and energizing call to continue to do the wonderful work we do.

Ambassador Update We currently have 67 Ambassadors (the number has doubled since the last board meeting in which we had 32!) and interests in different activities are varied among our volunteers. Our March for Moms efforts have been going very well. As of 5pm CST today,we have raised $9,300, and the numbers continue to increase daily. Currently we have 31 walking teams in 17 different States: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, & Utah About half of our team are representing local non-profit organizations who are addressing MMH in their areas. One of our walks will be profiled in an interview with a local Fox affiliate in Grand Rapids Michigan, where we will discuss the Ambassador Program. Efforts for summer include identifying a few ambassadors who will coordinate and build efforts in regional segments: West, East, & Midwest. We would also like to potentially identify and build a training program for our volunteers to do advocacy work in their areas.
