meet 2021

Itinerary:
Check in : 8:00 am
Judge’s Briefing: 8:30 am
Racing starts: 9:00 am
Race Format:
Divisions 1 – Regular format - 6 Races per team – Best of 5 heats
Division 2 and 3 – Handicap format - 6 Races per team – Best of 5 heats
In the event of a tied place there will be count backs
Points for Round Robin will be allocated as follows:
2 points for winning the race
1 point for a drawn race
0 points for a loss
In the event of a team forfeiting a race, the team left to run by itself must complete the minimum
required heats to gain the Round Robin Points. If the team does not complete the minimum heats,
there will be no round robin points awarded.
All racing will be conducted under the rules and regulations of the Australian Flyball Association.
Breakouts
All breakouts will result in a forfeit of each heat.
Should the same team breakout for a 3rd time they will not be eligible to place in that division.
If the electronic timing equipment malfunctions and hand held timers are required an extra second
will be subtracted from the official breakout time (manual times = 2 sec below the division’s fasted
time).
Changeover Times
The 2 minute rule will be applied from the time the box and team is ready, teams are reminded to
take their time when entering to avoid overcrowding.
The Judge will indicate when there is 30 seconds remaining. A team may forfeit the heat if they
are not ready on time.
Depending on how time is going, the changeover time may change to 90 seconds after lunch.
Stewarding Duties
Teams are asked to supply stewards promptly to avoid delays in racing. Each block consists of
only three races to comply with the AFA rulings of minimum number of races between each team’s
races. This allows for 3 teams to sit out each block. These teams are asked to provide the
stewards.
Housekeeping
Smoking is prohibited
Dogs are to be under control at all times. Members are to ensure that their dogs are on lead
at all times, unless in crates or in the ring.
All dog’s faeces are to be disposed of in the appropriate manner
Please keep grounds clean and use bins provided
Please be mindful of RSPCA Staff and Volunteers working on premises as well as public
visiting the complex.
We ask that you stay clear of the fence line on field one allowing the staff to walk the shelter
dogs without any distractions
Do not take your dogs to other areas of the complex to exercise them please. Fields are
being used by staff for meet and greets and training while we have access to field one and
the undercover area.
The kitchen is not available to teams. Please make other arrangement for heating and
cooling food and refreshments.
