Table of Contents Dear Friend, Welcome! We are so delighted by your interest in becoming a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona. Throughout the pages ahead, you will discover the variety of volunteer opportunities we have to offer. First, let me briefly share what Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona is all about. The founder of Habitat for Humanity, Millard Fuller, once wrote “A house is to a family what soil is to a plant. A plant needs to be rooted. A family is like that. If a family is not rooted, it will not flourish. But once a family is well-rooted, all kinds of wonderful things will begin to happen”. Decent, affordable housing is something we all need to thrive, and the years have shown us again and again what a strong foundation a Habitat house can be for an Arizona family. Our mission is to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope. With your help, we can continue our programs of building affordable homes and providing affordable home repairs to people who really need them. You can support our mission even without a hammer. Whether you are interested to volunteer in home construction, home repair, helping at the Habitat ReStores, or office, we have a place for you. Every helping hand makes a difference. With the hearts and minds of our incredible volunteers and the on-going support from our wonderful partners, we have been privileged to build strength, stability, and self- reliance into Central Arizona communities for more than 35 years. We plan to continue building until everyone has a decent place to live. We hope you can join us in creating safe and secure places for families to grow, be healthy and thrive. Gratefully, Jason Barlow President/CEO Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona Table of Contents 2|Page
