WELCOME INFORMATION Dear Guest Thank you for booking your holiday with us. If you have any questions, queries before or during your stay please just ask. We want you to enjoy your stay, be able to relax, remain safe and enjoy all that our beautiful site and beautiful Moray Speyside has to offer from beaches and forests, to history and heritage, adventure and nature and distilleries. Please read the below carefully BEFORE arrival so you are aware of site procedures in advance and can make lots of fun plans for your stay. There is a lot to take in during these strange times and adaptions to site rules are required and are subject to changes but are essential for everyone’s safety. Please remember if you need any more information please get in touch, we are here to help, and we want you to have an amazing holiday. The countryside awaits and your time to relax is near. IMPORTANT Please note that we are following all advice and regulations set by the Scottish Government and the First Minister of Scotland with regard to COVID-19 safety measures, it is guests responsibility to follow all guidance in place at the time of their visit. If your booking is effected by any restrictions please get in touch and as per our T&C we will be happy to move your booking to a time when it is safe for you to travel and for us to welcome you. Please review COVID site measures before arrival Our updated COVID measures can be viewed on our website. These will be updated as soon as possible when regulations are updated, however it is the guest’s responsibility to follow the latest guidance. We are all aware we are in a difficult time now and we are doing everything we can to make it possible for you to enjoy your holiday. Contact & Assistance Whilst we are maintaining Social Distance for the safety of our guests and staff this does not mean we are not here to help. • Our reception is manned at various times during the day between 9am-5pm, if you have any queries whilst onsite please go to reception in the first instance. • If there is no one available, then there will be a nominated “contact” persons details on the outside noticeboard for you to phone if help is required. • Please only call the person who is detailed as your onsite contact for that day as others will be unavailable. • After 5pm please only use the below numbers if it is an emergency that cannot wait until reception reopens in the morning. Check-in/Check-out information When you arrive at Reception your Welcome Pack and directions to your cabin/pitch will be in the SOCIAL DISTANCE CHECK-IN BOX in a white envelope with your name and cabin/pitch number detailed on it. This pack also contains emergency contact numbers for during your stay which are to be used in cases of emergency only after 5pm or if you are unable to locate your cabin/accommodation and in instances when Reception is not staffed during the day and you require assistance when onsite. Cabins: Check-in from 4pm & Check-out strictly 10am (keys must be deposited in the check-out box located at reception). Camping: Check-in from 1pm & Check-out 11am.
Site Rules Please familiarise yourself with site rules in advance. Site Rules Enjoy a campfire during your stay If you would like to enjoy a campfire during your stay, please call/email to book this in advance. Firewood is per bag (this is a big bag and will potential last more than one night depending on usage). If you have not ordered this in advance, we will be making a fire basket site drop- subject to availability each evening. This will be cash only and correct change only. If you are camping and want a campfire on the first night of your stay your tent must be erected by 4:30pm latest so we can place fire slabs in a safe location at fire truck delivery time. If you would like to order a fire while on site, please see reception and this will be arranged where possible and is subject to availability. No fire-pits or wood will be delivered after the fire truck delivery so please do book in advance. No refunds are offered for wood not used. Fires can only be lit in fire-pits provided by the site- this is for safety reasons. ADDITION: You may bring your own wood, but this must be recognised bagged firewood (no pallets/found wood/please do not snap branches off trees to burn) and must fit within the fire-pit. This is for safety reasons for all site guests. Fire safety must always be maintained. You must always tend your fire and keep it within the fire pit. Keep the fire under control. Never leave children alone at the fire. Ensure your fire is extinguished before you go to sleep. Ensure you have water available before lighting your fire should you need to quickly extinguish a fire your fire.
The Fun Stuff! Our Local Area & Things to do We love our local area and there are lots of things to do and see. So why not check out some of the local places to visit in advance so you are ready to get started with exploring when you arrive. Here are a few suggestions. Don’t forget to bring…. • Bedding (we cannot provide bedding at this time so please bring bedding with you).
• Towels (if you have booked a hot tub cabin remember to bring extra towels and a bathmat, it makes a big difference). • Crockery, pans, plates, cups etc. Crockery boxes can be hired for all Ensuite units only but must be pre booked in advance. • £1 and £2 coins for the electric meter in the cabins- you will need at maximum £3 a night and it depends on usage. • A torch, we have beautiful dark skies to enjoy star watching and campfire nights so we do recommend a torch so you can move around site after dark. • A mask (COVID regulations), toiletries, including hand sanitiser, soap, sanitiser wipes. • Food and provisions (our nearest shop is just 2 ½ miles away so you can always go shopping when you are here). • Suitable clothes, shoes, and waterproofs for enjoying the great outdoors whatever the weather may be. • Free standing BBQ (not disposable) so you can enjoy a BBQ when you are onsite. • A pack of cards or fun game to play (you could leave the tech at home?). • Fireside stories to share. • A sense of adventure and fun! Onsite facilities • Fairy Trail our fairy trail is free to visit but activity maps may be purchased from Reception. Please be aware of seasonal variations to availability. Download map coming soon. • Farm Walks our beautiful farm is set in over 388 acres with lots of walking trails to enjoy. Please abide by the countryside code and respect this natural and farming landscape. Respect social distancing on trails. Please keep your dog on a lead at ll times on site and tidy up after your dog. Toilets, Showers & Kitchens • The Millside Bothy has kitchen, toilet, and shower facilities for our Millside guests and is available to other guests on site during cleaning periods. • The Nissen Shed has kitchen, toilet and shower facilities for campsite guests and is available to other guests on site during cleaning periods.
• Additional toilets and showers facilities have been added for 2021 in the campsite to give additional facilities to allow for social distancing on site and provide facilities closer to pitches in the Wilderness Campsite. Glamping & Camping at The Loft General Rules of the site • NO SMOKING in any accommodation or communal areas. • Noise levels after 10pm should be kept to a minimum. Please be considerate at any time of the day or night. Loud music is not permitted at any time. If noise levels are causing a disturbance, please call the emergency number in your welcome pack and this will be dealt with by staff on site. We want you to enjoy your stay and enjoy the peaceful countryside. • Please leave your accommodation or pitch as you found them - clean and tidy. Any damages or any exceptional cleaning required may be charged to your credit/debit card. • Cabin checkout time is strictly by 10am. Keys must be deposited in the check-out box located at reception. • Camping checkout is 11am. • Kitchen and toilet facilities on the site must be left clean and tidy for the next user, please remove all dishes from the kitchen after washing up. • Keep an eye on your children. Do not leave children or dogs unattended in cabins. • Please always keep dogs on leads and clean up any mess. • Do not allow children to climb on farm machinery or allow them to go into farm sheds/buildings, as this can be very dangerous. • Fires are permitted but ONLY within fire-pits and on slabs hired from the site. Please contact us to arrange hire. A fire delivery truck will be on site each evening for hire and wood purchase. You may bring your own wood for a fire, but this must be pre-bagged recognised firewood. Fires must be kept under control and supervised. • DISPOSABLE BBQ's ARE NOT PERMITTED. Please bring a free-standing BBQ. Please be aware that damage caused to grass, picnic benches and decking (or any other areas) due to negligent placement of BBQs or fire baskets will be charged for. This
can be up to £100 per burnt area so please think before you place your BBQ or fire anywhere. • Please park at the main Reception building to check-in and then park in your designated parking area/space for you allocated accommodation or pitch. Cabin areas are car free zones. Parking and driving on the grass next to cabins is not permitted. Only 1 car per booking, unless by prior arrangement and charge. Additional cars must be parked in the overflow car park. • On our Campsite each pitch is allocated 1 car parking space next to the pitch. Please ensure you park within your pitch. Additional cars must be parked in the overflow car park. • Hot Tubs are only for the use of guests booked into cabins with hot tubs who have booked hot tub use. Hot tubs must only be fuelled by wood provided by us specifically for hot tub use. • Users of hot tubs must read and follow the hot tub safety rules and rules of usage. Children must always be supervised and never left alone in hot tubs. • Please recycle and dispose of all rubbish in the large waste bins provided on site. • Other site notices and requests must be respected and observed. • Respect the countryside code (keep to paths, no litter, dogs must be kept under control). COVID-19 INFORMATION • All Scottish Government rules must be followed when onsite. The announcement of re-opening on 26th April guidance and legislation can be found here. • Details of COVID-19 protection levels can be viewed here. This details essential information about group gatherings and inside and outside socialising rules. • Please maintain and respect social distance and appropriate mask wearing with everyone on site (except your immediate booking/family members). • Please do not approach staff onsite, please keep a safe distance. • Please ensure children are supervised and are adhering to safe COVID-19 measures.
• In line with government regulations masks must be worn in mandatory mask areas (communal facilities) unless by those with valid exemptions. • When using communal facilities please follow distancing guidelines, do not stand in corridors outside facilities or within facilities until there is a vacant cubicle for your use. Please wait outside and only go inside when a cubicle/kitchen becomes available. We have added additional toilets and showers to accommodate. • Communal facilities must be use appropriately- no personal washing or teeth cleaning in kitchen areas- please use washrooms provided and clean after use. • Please wash your hands regularly. Sanitiser gel is available at distribution points onsite. Soap is provided in all hand wash areas. Please follow correct handwashing guidance and dry hands thoroughly. • Whilst cleaning is in process do not enter the communal facilities, please use alternative facilities that are available on site. This is for the protection of our staff and you. • The kitchen facilities are for cooking only and food should not be consumed, or gatherings take place in these areas. We have removed tables and chairs at this time to minimise gathering areas. Please remember to bring all crockery etc equipment with you. • Please note at this time we cannot welcome additional guests on site and only guests booked into accommodation can be onsite. • Group sizes may continue to be limited by government rules. Currently 6 people from up to 6 households outside socialising. No inhouse socialising which extends to accommodation units onsite. • If you feel unwell with any COVID-19 symptoms: o Fever o New continuous cough o Loss of taste or smell o New shortness of breath Please advise a member of staff via phone and leave site and return home immediately and follow the government advice on staying at home and follow the advised process. All members of your booking must also leave site and return home and follow the stay at home government advice about isolating. Follow Test and Protect instructions.
If you are confirmed to have developed COVID-19 following a positive test result you must contact us as we must initiate a test and protect process with the local authorities. Please help us by advising us of any positive test result after your stay, please register with the Test and Protect App to help. A Friendly Reminder…because your safety matters! This is essential advice for the reduction of the spread of COVID-19. Please show consideration to other site guests, our staff, and our local community. COVID-19 measures: what we are doing to keep you safe. In line with government and industry advice we have implemented the following: • Contactless check-in and onsite contactless guest support.
• Increased intensive cleaning and disinfectant procedures after every customer stay in cabins. • An intensified daily deep clean of communal facilities and additional checks through the day for additional cleaning. • Facilities will be closed to the public during cleaning. • Soap and hand sanitisers in communal facilities and building entry points. • Social distancing measures on site at communal areas and reception. • Masks must be worn in communal facilities. These are mandatory mask zones. • Reduced occupancy to reduce pressure on facilities and allow for social distancing. • We are not providing bedding currently- please bring your own. • Removal of kitchen and shared items from communal areas. Please ensure if you are booked into communal use facilities you bring crockery, cutlery and pots and pans and kitchen equipment required. All information is correct at the time of creation but is subject to change.
