LO: use adjectives to describe a setting

                                            Listen to the Beegu story
Last week we explored using adjectives to
describe a character. This week we are
going to expand our vocabulary and use
adjectives to describe a setting and
                                               objects in a setting.

                                             Word of the day: eerie
                                     Meaning: spooky, quiet and frightening

Challenge 1
Copy or print the table below
Can you sort or copy a selection of the words
 into their categories?
Complete this in your work book.
Do you know what all the words mean? Ask a grown up
if you are not sure.

 Challenge 2

 slides (found on TEAMs).
 Copy the sentences in to
your work book and add in

LO: describe a setting using adjectives

Today you are going to write an
extended ending to the Beegu story.
 Read over your adjectives from
                                           yesterday and imagine you are
                                           in the setting.
 Look at your sense words –
                                           Where did the smell come
                                           from? What made the noise?
 Print or copy the story starter
below and choose your level of

Use the sound mat to help your
                                                       spelling.
                                               Best handwriting please.
