Wednesday Information - August 11, 2021 Outreach Update St. Martha’s Outreach is focusing on helping those in need locally, especially, with nutrition, housing and education. Outreach contributes to five local food pantries each month and works closely with two local elementary schools, Phillip Showell and John Clayton. This month we are collecting backpacks and supplies for students in families that do not have the means to buy these items. We have been excited to contribute to AmeriCorps’ Summer Literacy program which seeks to deliver targeted reading instruction for K-5 to help keep low income students from losing skills over the summer. There are 19 organizations and programs in which Outreach is involved. Please take a look at the Outreach Star display in the Parish Hall to see all the partners St. Martha’s helps. Join us as we worship together in person. Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost Sunday, August 15, 2021 8:00 am & 10:00 am Holy Eucharist If you are unable to worship in person, please join us as we livestream. O gracious Father, who openest thine hand and fillest all things living with plenteousness: Bless the lands and waters, and multiply the harvests of the world; let thy Spirit go forth, that it may renew the face of the earth; show thy loving-kindness, that our land may give her increase; and save us from selfish use of what thou givest, that men and women everywhere may give thee thanks; through Christ our Lord.
