1. We would like to introduce our tour of amazing Food Festivals - 3 Festivals across 2 Venues in 2019. So what is in store for 2019? Our focus is to look at profitable events and focus on two venues that have performed consistently well for decades. Not wishing to gloss over the events of 2018, however to put it in simple terms it was a disaster. The weather and HS2 had a huge effect on all of our shows from extreme heat, biblical rain and our event site being commandeered by high speed rail. On a positive note Mapledurham Food Festival was amazing. We will be visiting Mapledurham House on the May Bank Holiday and Great Missenden over the Easter and August Bank Holidays. You will see all the old familiar faces from the Love Food team as we look to consolidate and focus on running profitable shows for exhibitors and us alike. Great Missenden Food Festival will take place back in Great Missenden (Not Chiltern Open Air Museum). This event has been established for nearly two decades and has always been extremely busy. The shows have gone from strength to strength over the last 5 years and we look forward to welcoming in the region of 15,000 visitors at Easter and 9,000 in August 2019. Anyone that hasn’t had a refund from the Easter 2018 event will be offered credit for the 2019 show. Mapledurham was one of 2018’s success stories as we welcomed just short of 10,000 visitors in the glorious sunshine (Yes the sun shone). Situated on the bank of the river Thames just outside Reading, this is a magical venue that has always performed very well over the first May Bank Holiday. This document is designed to highlight the key aspects that will make the events a success for both exhibitors and sponsors. GREAT MISSENDEN - April & August Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire The Great Missenden Easter Food Festival is now in it’s 16th year and has gone from strength to strength in the last 8 years under Love Food. Great. Missenden lies in the Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Catchment areas include Beaconsfield, Amersham, Gerrards Cross and Wendover. This extremely affluent area provides ample ABC1 visitors with an estimated attendance of approximately 15,000 visitors over the weekend. . 2019 will see the 4th annual Great Missenden August Food Festival. Our target for the August 2019 event is an attendance of 9,000 visitors plus over the Bank Holiday weekend. MAPLEDURHAM HOUSE - May Mapledurham House, Nr Reading, Berkshire RG4 7TR This stunning location has hosted an event on this weekend for nearly 30 years. This will be Love Food’s 5th year at Mapledurham, after taking over the May event in 2015. The staff at Mapledurham are a delight to work with and have helped to develop the event. This has aided in doubling the visitor numbers from 2015. Located on the banks of the River Thames, Mapledurham House is a popular visitor attraction. Catchment areas include Reading, Henley on Thames and Wokingham. This affluent area provides ample ABC1 visitors with an estimated attendance of approximately 10,000 plus visitors. This event continues to grow with our aim for this to become one of our flagship events.

There will be plenty to entice local foodies including: - EXHIBITOR MARKET PLACE - 80 - 175 exhibitors selling artisan food and drink, crafts and gifts. - BBQ MASTER CLASS THEATRE - Celebrity and expert chefs will be inspiring home cooks, visitors have the chance to cook along with the chef - CELEBRITY CHEF- Various Celebrity chefs will be joining us throughout 2018 - COOK-A-LONG MASTER CLASS THEATRE - Visitors have the chance to cook along with expert chefs. - FORGAING WALKS - Expert tuition and foraging master class - CHILDREN’S COOKERY & FOOD SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS - - CHILDREN’S AREA - Including the Grow Your Own tent, rides and slides, treasure hunt and costume character Jo Jo Bear. - LOCAL PRODUCER AVENUE - Discounted trade stands available to food/drink producers based within a 20 mile radius of the venue. - STREET FOOD EXPERIENCE - Culinary experiences from all over the world - LIVE MUSIC - - THE KITCHEN TABLE EXPERIENCE -
4. Every venue is unique and we tailor our marketing strategy for each venue. We will provide you with details of the unique selling points that we will promote each venue on in due course. However, for all of our venues as a minimum, we invest in the following: Regional Press & Radio Advertising - Our marketing campaigns are complimented with local lifestyle publications and coverage in the regional press and local radio. Direct Leaflet Drops - A door-to-door leafleting campaign will reach 70,000 + households within the catchment area. 5.
