Magical Country Weddings

Venues and numbers

We have four lovely indoor and outdoor spaces to help you create a unique setting for your
wedding day. Venues are all fully appointed with chairs, tables, garden furniture, linen
crockery, cutlery, service.

In De Perdestal we can host up to 50 guests for small intimate weddings with stunning
mountain views.

The Old Cellar can host 60 guests seated for a lovely winelands wedding with views of
flowing Swartland vineyards through large cellar windows.

We can host up to 80 guests with dancing space in The Pavilion, 100 guests seated and up
to 120 or 150 guests with nomadic tent extensions. The Pavilion is perfect for outdoor
weddings with views over our gardens, the Joubertskloof valley and the Paardeberg
mountains..

The Farmhouse Veranda and Gardens are perfect for a country wedding and can host up
to 150 guests with a nomadic tent.

Magical Country Weddings

Food & Drinks
We cook home-made hearty food with seasonal, local and organic ingredients that appeal to
`foodies' and those after wholesome tasty country food. We serve our own natural wines and
bubbly made the traditional way from organically farmed Fynbos Estate grapes. We have a
fully licenced bar and happy to manage a cash bar. Corkage is payable for selected alcohol
we don’t produce ourselves or can't source. Additional bars for example gin bars, water bars
and beer tables will draw supplementary charges. See our Wedding Menu options.

Accommodation
We can accommodate up to 40 guests in double rooms with additional beds for children or
family and total up to 45 guests. We are open to offer camping if all house minimums are
reached and there is accommodation in the surrounding area.

All weddings using the Pavilion or the Old Cellar falling on weekends (Friday, Saturday or
Sunday) require a minimum of two nights stay of 10 people in our lovely Farmhouse and Owl
Garden Cottage. Should your Pavilion or Old Cellar event fall next to a long weekend, a three
night minimum stay is required for 10 people in the Farmhouse and Owl Garden Cottage.
All weddings in De Perdestal need take either Honey Badger for minimum 4 people or Black
Eagle minimum 4 people for two nights and on public holidays three nights.

For a small wedding held in De Perdestal falling on a weekend, two nights in Black Eagle to a
capacity of 8 people is required. Should this be a public holiday weekend, three nights are
required.

                 2. Full Country Weddings for 20 – 150 people

5 hour catered wedding hosted in one venue of your choice with a set 3-course menu.

       CEREMONY R2,000
       You have a choice of various venues and we provide chairs, a Persian
       runner and an arch to be decorated by you.

        RECEPTION R580 per head includes venue & 3-course set menu
        40-80 people seated with dance floor | 40-100 people seated no dance floor

        Choice of 2 menus:
        (Special dietary requirements – vegan, vegetarian, halaal, allergies can be
        catered for separately).

Full Country Wedding
A 6 hour catered wedding hosted in two venues of your choice from
our stunning range of venues and with experienced staff. Also see our

Arrival, ceremony and signing of register:
A once-off payment of R2,000

Reception venue, on-site management and catering staff:

Included in your wedding package:
Ÿ Two pre-wedding meetings (1 hour each).
Ÿ Wedding correspondence limited to once a week up until 2 weeks
   before the wedding (Wednesdays). Two weeks before the wedding
   we will arrange additional meetings if needed.
Ÿ Legal and financial administration.
Ÿ Seating, ceremony and reception planning with diagrams.
Ÿ Hired goods management.
Ÿ Professional and experienced on-site management and catering
   staff for the wedding day.
Ÿ An outdoor or indoor ceremony of up to an hour with tables chairs,
   arch, table/barrel for officiant, and Persian runner.
Ÿ An indoor space for signing of the register with Oregon table and
   chairs plus water carafe.
Ÿ Reception venue spaces include everything required except décor
   and flowers. i.e. tables, chairs, barrels, garden furniture, umbrellas,
   linen, cutlery and crockery.
Ÿ Accommodation arrangements for weekend and long weekend
   weddings.

Setting up for your wedding:
Our venues are available from 8 am to 2 pm for décor, hired goods
delivery and any additional arrangements the day before your wedding.
We will appreciate support with table setting from 2 to 4 pm and no
later than 4 pm the day before the wedding.

Additional Costs:
Ÿ Water bar for ceremony – R1,000
Ÿ Additional pre-wedding meetings – R250 per hour
Ÿ Pre-wedding coordination – R350 per hour
Ÿ Should you want food plated, additional staff may be hired at your
  cost depending on numbers.
Ÿ Nomadic tent for 100 to 150 people - request a quote
Ÿ Overtime R1 500 per hour up to midnight. R2,500 p/h after midnight
