Celebrate at Matakana Estate
Escape to the tranquil grounds of Matakana Estate, where our vineyards offer a beautiful backdrop for your celebrations.
We are the largest vineyard in Matakana with 85 acres of lush countryside, offering versatile venue options as well as luxury on-site
lodge accommodation. Only one hour drive from Auckland City, we are accessible and easy to locate, positioned in between
Warkworth and Matakana.
Offering the ultimate in privacy, the newly refurbished Lodge offers discerning guests the ultimate venue for an intimate wedding. The
Lodge boasts an indoor heated swimming pool along with a private cellar dining experience.
For larger weddings, the spacious grounds offer the ideal place for a marquee wedding with gorgeous views in every direction, or
perhaps a more ethereal type wedding set within the enchanted forest is more your style. With helipad, plenty of parking and luxury
accommodation for the wedding party on site, Matakana Estate offers the ideal venue and accommodation combination for your
special day.

Our Venue
Our property provides different areas to set up your wedding ceremony and reception. We would
recommend that you book an appointment for a site viewing. We are able to accommodate small
groups and larger scale celebrations.
Enchanted Forest: 100pax | Lawn/ Lodge Lawn: 300pax
Food and Catering
Inquire about our own catering menu from canapes, grazing tables to buffet dinners.
Alternatively, there are many local companies that are able to provide full service catering. They will
provide staff for the setup, service and can take care of cutlery, plates and table setting needs. They
have a fantastic selection that showcases the best of NZ produce and culinary talent.

Alcohol Licence
We do not allow any BYO alcohol, unless with prior agrrement and approval with our Event Manager.
We are able to provide beverage packages with our Matakana Estate wines and Sawmill beers, as
well as non-alcoholic beverages.
Decorations, Florists, Makeup Artists, Live Music and Transportation
We understand that there is a lot involved to make your wedding day special. For whatever
your needs, we can help suggest some vendors that can bring to life your vision and make your
day flow seamlessly.

Marquee Hire
Various styles of marquees or stretch tents can be constructed on our lawns to provide an intimate
setting for your ceremony or reception. Depending on size and style, these will incur additional costs.
Marquee hire is not included in our package.

Small Intimate Weddings
If you're looking to have a smaller wedding without a marquee.
Matakana Estate Lodge can be transformed into a private oasis for you and
your guests. Ideal for groups of 12 - 60 people.
Please contact our team to discuss what you are looking for and we will be able
to suggest what may work best for you.
From private Chef services to opulent grazing tables, or perhaps you prefer to
bring in your own catering, we are flexible to work with what you want.
We welcome you to contact us to book a viewing of our property and venues. A
quote can be sent once we have a better idea of your event.
