VICTOR OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIPS Entries Australian Players to enter individually through: https://tinyurl.com/Victor-OC2019-AUS and submit their entry and entry fee on-line by 8 January 2019 All international entries must be made online by the Member Association. Member Associations to log onto the VICTOR Oceania Championships 2019 at: https://tinyurl.com/Victor-OC2019 and submit the entries online. A username and password is required for MAs to submit entries. For further information or assistance Julie Carrel – julie@oceaniabadminton.org The online entry page will automatically close on Tuesday, 15 January 2019 at 2359 hours BWF Headquarters time (+0800h GMT). Late entries cannot not be accepted. After the closing date, the BWF Online Entry System will send notification to all participating Member Associations confirming receipt of final entries. Receipt of this notification is the conclusive evidence of receipt of entries before the deadline. The Member Associations should contact BWF immediately if such notice is not received by noon, Thursday 17 January 2019 BWF Headquarters time (+0800h GMT). If no objection is received by BWF by 2359 hours, Friday 18 January 2019 BWF Headquarters time (+0800h GMT) following the close of entries, the entries shall be deemed to be correct. No complaints / objections shall be entertained after this point. Entry Fees Entry fees for players other than Australian players are NZ$150 per person. The entry fee for Australian Players is AUD$140 per person. This includes an event shirt and gift pack. The Member Association will be invoiced on Tuesday 29 January 2019 for the entry fees for all players in the draws. Entry fees must be paid to BOC within 7 days of receiving the invoice. Players will not be allowed to play until the entry fee is paid. Entry fees are not refundable
VICTOR OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIPS Airport Transport Airport transfers will be provided to and from Melbourne International Airport (Tullamarine) to the Official Accommodation Venues only for those people staying at these venues Member Associations are to provide travel details / requirements online questionnaire at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5MX5BW8 no later than Friday 25 January 2019. If details are not received by this date, transport cannot be provided. Official Accommodation Transport See each Official Accommodation Page for further details. VISA Letter Member Associations requiring a VISA invitation letter for any players or officials are to complete the online Visa letter request at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KBPRTMS no later than Friday 11 January 2019. Managers Meeting Date: Sunday, 10 February 2019 Location: Badminton Victoria Office Level 1, Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre Aughtie Drive, Albert Park Time: 4pm It is compulsory all Member Associations entered in the event attend the Team Managers Meeting. Failure to attend may result in a fine from Badminton Oceania – US$250. Member Associations may make a request to the Referee to have someone else represent them at the meeting, this request must be made prior to the meeting.

VICTOR OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIPS Conditions of Entry Players entering must be registered members of a body affiliated with the BWF and must be in good standing with their Member Association. Players must have citizenship status of the Oceania member country they are representing and meet the regulations as outline in the BWF General Competition Regulations 6.3.1 A copy of citizenship certificate/passport may be requested. All players /countries submitting entries for the tournament will be deemed to have read and accepted the conditions under which the tournament is to be conducted. Competitors play at their own risk. Rules & Regulations 1. The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the Laws of Badminton adopted by the Badminton World Federation and the Competition Regulations of BWF (www.bwfbadminton.org) and any additional regulations of Badminton Oceania (www.badmintonoceania.org). 2. It is MANDATORY for the Player name to be on the back of the shirt. It is recommended that the Country name is also on the shirt. Lettering on Player’s clothing must conform to the BWF regulations. 3. BWF approved Victor shuttles will be used. 4. Seedings and Draw: a. Badminton Oceania will oversee the draw in accordance with the Competition Rules of the BWF. b. BWF regulations will apply in relation to withdrawals from the tournament. 5. Minimum entry: in accordance with BWF regulations for World Ranking Points, if the minimum number of entries or the minimum number of international players in an event is not met, the event will not be included in the World Rankings. BWF World Ranking Points equivalent to a Grade 3 International Challenge event are awarded for this event.

In accordance with CGR 14.1.2 “Any withdrawal after the Monday immediately preceding the draw (Tuesday, 29 January 2019) for any reason whatsoever, renders the Member Association concerned liable to an amount of US$150 per player/pair penalty. For any withdrawals once the event has commenced, the player must present to the Referee. 7. Scheduled Match Times: The schedule for the event will available through Tournament Software following the Managers Meeting on Sunday, 10 February 2019. The Referee has the power to disqualify any player not available to play at the scheduled time. Matches may be called up to 10 minutes prior to their scheduled time. 8. Withdrawals. In accordance with GCR14.1.4, a player retiring from a match shall not be considered to be a withdrawal, however, should a Player be entered in more than one Event, by retiring or withdrawing from that one Event, the Player must be withdrawn from all other Events in which the Player is entered. 9. Anti-doping regulations: a. The BWF Anti-Doping Regulations apply at this BWF sanctioned event. Players competing in this tournament are subject to in-competition drug testing under BWF Anti-Doping Regulations. The BWF regulations can be viewed at www.bwfbadminton.org. b. Players are reminded that it is their obligation to submit completed Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) application forms to the BWF through their National Association to get approval to use prescribed medications containing prohibited substance. In the first instance, contact your Member Association. Players are required to apply for TUE approval at least 21 days before the start of this international event. The BWF Anti-Doping Regulations and TUE Forms can be found at: http://bwfcorporate.com/integrity/tue-medications/. 10.This tournament will follow the current laws of badminton including those related to the fixed height for service, subject to final approval by the BWF Council on 30 November 2018. Should any changes be made at that time this prospectus will be updated 11.Trophies will be presented to the winner and runner-up in all events. 12.There is no prize-money awarded at this event.
