Sculptor I Owner As an art lover
Sculpteur et propriétaire and collector, my
interests are eclectic, an exploration of colours,
shapes and textures. As a sculptor I reveal the
stone’s essence and vision of its true self. My
assemblage sculptures are conceptual designs
of thought-provoking materials. Please visit
me at my lakefront studio and gallery, nestled
among tall trees, just 1.5 km west of Wellington.

de ma vision artistique. Mes œuvres contemporaines
et abstraites vous invitent à en faire l’expérience et à
les interpréter selon votre propre perspective.
En tant qu’amateur et collectionneur d’art, mes
champs d’intérêt sont éclectiques ; une exploration
de couleurs, de formes et de textures. En tant que
sculpteur, je révèle l’essence de la pierre et sa vision
de sa nature véritable. Mes sculptures d’assemblage
sont des créations conceptuelles faites de matériaux
qui suscitent la réflexion. Rendez-moi visite à mon
atelier et à ma galerie, qui se trouvent à seulement
1,5 km à l’ouest de Wellington, nichés parmi les
grands arbres au bord du lac.
Galerie ouverte de 12 h à 18 h tous les jours
de mai à septembre, et d’octobre à avril aux

de tisser via l’art une histoire qui perpétue la mémoire
de ces deux femmes extraordinaires : l’une, intrépide
et audacieuse, et l’autre, gracieuse, élégante et éthérée.
Représentant des artistes de la région et de partout
au pays, la galerie Sybil Frank promet de vous faire
vivre une expérience artistique qui vous permettra
de dénicher des talents uniques, et qui incarnent une
vision, un sens artistique et l’inattendu. La galerie
est ouverte du printemps à l’automne, du lundi au
samedi de 11 h à 17 h, et le dimanche, de 10 h à 17 h.
En hiver, elle est ouverte du jeudi au dimanche, de 11
h à 17 h, et sur rendez-vous du lundi au mercredi.

Lake makes this gallery and studio well
worth your visit. With a degree in fine art from
the Netherlands, Amelie Koning de Bourbon is
also well known as a painter on silk. Her many
silk creations are scarves, shawls, accessories,
chemises, camisoles, silk cards and unisex shorts.
Her two dimensional work varies from paintings
in oil, acrylic, graphic arts and silk paintings. Open
May to Oct, Fri to Sun, 11am to 4pm; Nov to Dec
and other times by chance or appointment.

J . Douglas Thompson paints primarily in acrylic,
attempting to depict various atmospherics caused
by light interacting with water in all forms. Whether
found in grand cumulous clouds, fog drifting up on
a lake in the early morning, waterfalls, crashing waves
or many other permutations, he is moved to capture
these events of wonder. His paintings are also
personal, metaphoric expressions of light filled
with hope, in juxtaposition to the challenges of life.
