4 Reporting back from the 2nd MSAB meeting main points raised / discussed Satellite event / side event by • It was agreed that once the proposals are submitted Member States by the MSAB, the EFSA Conference Project Team will advise on timing and on possible ways forward. MSAB members inquired whether it would be possible for them to organise a satellite event (before the Conference) or a side event (during the Conference) on risk assessment partnerships
4 Reporting back from the 2nd MSAB meeting main points raised / discussed Making the One Health goals • As part of the discussion, it was clarified that the One operational in practice Health ambition/vision will be presented during the opening plenary session. This will set the scene MSAB members suggested a debate about for the Conference, and thus define the frame for the One Health in the opening plenary session thematic sessions. and suggested that the One Health ambition should be more explicit in the description of the thematic sessions • In the final plenary session, all relevant considerations made in the opening plenary session and during the thematic discussions would be integrated to make recommendations for the future both in the domain of science and policy. These recommendations will explore how to translate the One Health vision into practice in the context of food/feed safety.
4 Reporting back from the 2nd MSAB meeting main points raised / discussed • During the discussion, it was recognised that it is Suggestions on format challenging to ensure that participants review & digest pre-recorded talks before the Conference. MSAB members suggested that pre- recorded talks can help in dedicating more time for scientific discussions (incl. • Keynote talks, discussion rounds and moderated engagement with online participants) panel discussions are being considered for the different sessions of the Conference. • Shorter & dynamic thematic sessions will be held to keep participants engaged (in particular those connecting remotely).
