    Paul Arnott grew up in the Baptist church in Hobart. He has worked in tourism; as an ABC current affairs
    journalist; is an ordained Anglican minister, having ministered in five Tasmanian parishes; was Victorian
    CMS State Director for 11 years and the former Executive Director of Churches of Christ Community Care
    in Victoria and Tasmania. He became CMA’s Executive Director of Q4COnnection in February 2016 and

     Joshua Crowther Executive Director, Dunham+Company Australia
     Joshua is Executive Director for Dunham+Company Australia. Since being at Dunham+Company, Joshua
     has led strategy for over 100 faith-based not-for-profits, ranging from large 100-year-old organisations
     to small start-up charities. This work has included the development of hundreds of campaigns, leading
     strategy on all areas of integrated fundraising; acquisition, conversion, cultivation and retention.

     Dr Omar Djoeandy Missions Engagement Consultant, SIM Australia
     Omar likes to say he is CIA – not the group that chase terrorists - but Chinese ethnically, born in Indonesia
     and an Australian since 10. He studied Medicine at University of New South Wales in Sydney and attained
     a Master of Divinity (MDiv) at NEGST (Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology) in Kenya. He
     served as an Associate Pastor at Nairobi Chapel, an inter-denominational church that grew from about 800
     people in 1998 to over 2,500 in 2003. Omar wrote “Redefining Success” and 24, 500 copies were printed
     in Kenya. He served as Executive Director of SIM Australia from 2004 until February 2020. Omar is married
     to Kay, originally from USA, and they have three children. He has visited 25 countries including Bolivia,
     Brazil, Kenya, Nigeria, PNG, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

     Michelle Farrall Director, The Future Leader Group
     Michelle Farrall is a strategy, culture and coaching professional with nearly 20 years’ experience in the
     not-for-profit, corporate, education and international development sectors. She has co-created strategic
     plans, brand and communication strategies and delivered team development workshops for more than
     70 Australian Christian not-for-profits. Michelle is co-Director of The Future Leader Group, an organisation

Dr Craig Furneaux Senior Lecturer, Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies
Dr Craig Furneaux is a Senior Lecturer and Subject Area Coordinator at The Australian Centre for
Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies, Queensland University of Technology. Craig has over 20 years’
experience working for, leading, and researching with nonprofit organisations, with a particular long term
focus on building management capabilities. He has been an ordained minister, and board member of
a number of community groups. Craig’s research in the Centre focuses broadly on accountability and
capability in social enterprises and faith based charities.

Vanessa Hall
Vanessa has spent the past 15 years dedicated to a pursuit of understanding trust from all facets, and
trains, coaches and consults to leaders globally to support them in the building and restoration of trust in
their own organisations, families and communities. She has launched a new Trust Index to provide leaders
with a tool to track and measure trust, and continues to bring her insights to the Christian sector through
chairing the CMA Standards Panel and the Programs and Standards Committee of the newly formed

Dr Gary Hoag President & CEO, Global Trust Partners (USA)
Gary G. Hoag, Ph.D., serves as President & CEO of Global Trust Partners (www.gtp.org). The purpose of GTP
is to multiply faithful stewards and mobilise peer accountability groups to build trust and grow local generous
giving to God’s work. This service springs from extensive international ministry, a desire to empower national
workers, and his personal commitment to dedicate his life to encouraging Christian generosity. He received

     and community housing. In 2014 he was awarded an OAM for his services to the community, particularly
     people with a disability.He currently mentors/coaches CEOs, Christian leaders, pastors, and ministers.
     He is married with two children and lives in Melbourne.

     Stephanie Judd Lawyer, Prolegis Lawyers
     Stephanie is a lawyer with Prolegis Lawyers. She assists clients with the establishment of charitable
     and not-for-profit entities, advising on various corporate governance issues, tax concessions, regulatory
     compliance, and disputes. Prior to joining Prolegis, she worked in a major Australian law firm in the banking

     Steve Kerr Executive Director, CMA Standards Council
     Steve has served as the Executive Director of the CMA Standards Council since February 2016, initially
     part-time, but full time from 2019. Steve was a solicitor for over 40 years, practising initially in commercial
     litigation, and then for the last 25 years in general corporate and commercial law. Over his career Steve
     has been a Partner at Corrs Chambers Westgarth, a Senior Partner at Freehills, a Senior Partner at HWL
     Ebsworth and is now a part-time Consultant at HWL Ebsworth. He has helped establish and advise many
     not-for-profit organisations and has considerable professional experience in governance and compliance
     matters. He, his wife Kate and three adult children are actively involved in church life at St Hilary’s Anglican
     Church in Kew, Victoria, and he has served on a variety of church and ministry boards and committees,
     including his current role, of over ten years, on the board of Overseas Council Australia.

     Dr Ruth Knight Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Australian Centre for Philanthropy
     and Nonprofit Studies, QUT
     Dr Ruth Knight is a researcher and lecturer in nonprofit management and social enterprise at QUT’s
     Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies. Ruth has extensive experience in nonprofit
     leadership roles and has spent many years researching how workplace culture can achieve engaged
     workforces and organisational sustainability. Her special interests are measuring social outcomes and
     developing high performing leaders and teams. Ruth is on a mission to advance quality research and
     practice in the sector to enable organisations create effective strategies that improve their impact.

     Rebecca Lambert-Smith Team Leader, Moores
     Rebecca holds the contribution to the community made by her For Purpose clients in high regard. For this
     reason, she takes great pleasure in smoothing the way for them - whether it be helping a new organisation
     get on its feet, complex structuring advice or resolving internal disputes. It’s also why she regularly serves
     on not for profits boards, including (at the moment) a tertiary institution and a public benevolent institution.

Felicia Limmer is a lecturer in Marketing with Christian Heritage College, Carindale, Queensland. After
completing a Diploma in Christian Studies from RHEMA Bible Training centre, Felicia went on to complete
her Business (Marketing) Degree and later Master of Public Relations with the University of Southern
Queensland. She has a depth of experience in consumer, not for profit and services marketing having
worked with a number of well-known brands including Telstra, the Gold Coast City Council and as the
National Marketing Manager of Baskin Robbins Australia. As well as her work with Christian Heritage
College Felicia has also held roles teaching marketing for the Australian Institute of Business, Central
Queensland University and Swinburne University. Felicia is passionate about helping organisations
identify their distinctive benefits and to communicate this in a way that helps build relationships with
their communities. She is excited about the opportunity to build the next generation of businesspeople,
called with a purpose and empowered to make a difference in their world.

Steven Ling Saward Dawson
Steven is a consultant and manager in one of Saward Dawson’s business advisory teams. Steven has
found a niche in getting accounting software to work for his clients. He enjoys understanding business
processes and improving them. By combining his experience in tax, accounting software and his
passion for Excel modelling, he thrives on assisting people to develop and implement practical solutions
to business problems. He works with small to medium business and helps with record keeping, GST
requirements and other tax and employer obligations.

Anna Longley Assistant Commissioner General Counsel, ACNC
Anna Longley is the ACNC’s Assistant Commissioner – General Counsel. She acts as the senior legal
advisor to the ACNC Commissioner and the Advisory Board, and has legal oversight of the ACNC’s work
regulating charities. Having worked at the Australian Taxation Office for over 16 years prior to becoming
General Counsel, Anna has an extensive background in public administration. Most recently, she was an
Assistant Commissioner in Private Wealth, leading assurance and review work on high-wealth individuals,
private groups and not-for-profit entities. Anna also sat on the ATO’s General Anti-Avoidance Rules Panel,
and for two years oversaw Fringe Benefits Tax for the ATO. Anna is experienced in dispute resolution and
litigation. She has appeared for the Commissioner of Taxation in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and
the Federal Court in cases on income tax, GST and indirect tax, superannuation and not-for-profit matters.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and a Masters of
Taxation. She was admitted to practice as a lawyer in 2005. In the charity sector, Anna has spent several
years volunteering for and on the board of community legal centres.

Rob Martin Partner, First Fruit Institute USA
Rob has been involved in Christian ministry since his conversion in 1976. He first served as the editor of
a Christian publication and then for six years with the Orange County Rescue Mission (USA). He left the
Rescue Mission in 1983 to become General Manager of Fieldstead & Company, a private philanthropy
company. Later, he served as a consultant on communications, leadership and fund-raising for Christian
mission. This was followed by a brief stint as U.S. Director of the Lausanne Committee, before beginning
in 1990 as Executive Director with First Fruit, Inc., a private charitable foundation. He served in this
position until 2009 when he began a fulltime assignment as Partner with the First Fruit Institute serving
ministries and colleague foundations as a coach on a variety of organisational issues. Rob also serves
with the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization as Senior Associate for Global Philanthropy and
as a seminar leader on Fund Raising and Leadership for Mission. Rob was educated as a journalist, and
spent his formative career years in newspaper work. He and his wife, Bev, have raised three daughters
and currently live on Useless Bay on Whidbey Island in Washington State.

Lyall Mercer Managing Director, Mercer PR
Lyall Mercer is managing director of Mercer PR and is considered Australia’s leading public relations
practitioner within the faith-based sector. As well as dealing with large corporate clients, he has assisted
Christian churches and ministries across Australia and in many other countries to deal with issues that
could have damaged their reputation. One of Lyall’s specialties is crisis communications preparation and
he is certified with the Institute for Crisis Management in the United States. He has presented workshops
to key industry groups and Christian leaders across Australia, the USA and Canada, and recently opened
an office in the United States.

     Ereny has excelled as a coach, trainer, and counselor driven by a passion for empowering people in their

     volunteering in nonprofit leadership roles. She got her bachelor’s degree in business administration from

     Anne founded Prolegis Lawyers in 2001 to enable charities and other not-for-profits to access specialist
     legal advice. She is widely recognised by the federal Government, the charity and not-for-profit sector, and
     fellow professionals as a leading advisor to the sector. She has advised on corporate law, governance,
     charitable trust structuring and tax issues for the whole range of Australia’s charitable institutions. She has
     also had 30 years’ experience in the governance of not-for-profit organisations, including as a Director of
     World Vision Australia for 12 years (including Board Chair for 7 of those years) until 2012. Anne is also a co-

     Dr Sen Sendjaya Professor of Leadership, Swinburne Business School
     Sen Sendjaya is Professor of Leadership at Swinburne Business School, Australia. He received his PhD
     from Monash University in 2005. A leading scholar in the field of servant leadership, Sen has received
     nearly a million dollars in research grants and published more than 65 scientific articles, many of which
     appear in top-ranked scholarly academic journals. His latest sole-authored book is Leadership Reformed:
     Why Leaders Need the Gospel to Change the World published by Routledge in December 2019. Sen has
     trained leaders in the government, transportation, university, school, and church sectors, and delivered
     executive education, corporate workshops, and research seminars in Australia, America, China, Japan,
     and Indonesia. Both his research and teaching have been recognized by numerous awards, most recently
     Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management Best Educator Award 2017. Sen is an ordained
     Elder at the Scots’ Church Melbourne. He planted its Indonesian Congregation in 2005, and continues
     to serve as its Founding and Preaching Pastor.
Elizabeth Shalders Senior Associate, Head of Not for Profit, Lewis Holdway Lawyers
Elizabeth Shalders is a Senior Associate at Lewis Holdway Lawyers in Melbourne and heads their Not for
Profit practice division. She is dedicated solely to practising in the area of Not for Profit law and governance,
and has over a decade of professional experience in this field. During this time she has worked with small,
medium and large Not for Profits, and social enterprises, with a strong focus on NFP tax concessions and
governance disputes. She possesses a deep knowledge of the Sector and how it operates, having acted

Peter Shields Partner, Saward Dawson
Peter Shields is an audit and assurance partner with Saward Dawson. He has many years of experience
working in various capacities with commercial and not-for-profit organisations. Peter is a Fellow of the
Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), is the chairperson of the Audit Advisory
Committee for CA ANZ, a member of the CA ANZ Audit Module Advisory Panel and the Australian Audit
Standard Board Roundtable Group. Peter also is invited to provide input to the Australian Accounting

Dr Jonathan Staggs Business Lecturer and MBA Coordinator, Christian Heritage College
Dr Jonathan Staggs is a business lecturer and MBA Coordinator at Christian Heritage College, Carindale,
Queensland. Jonathan’s research explores the causal factors and actors that contribute to institutional
change in industries including health, science, coal-seam gas, and viticulture. He earned a PhD in business
from the University of Queensland. This PhD explored the origins of the ‘Smart State’ strategy of the
Queensland Government and factors that led to $1b Federal and State Government and philanthropic
investment into a bio-medical cluster in Queensland. Jonathan’s doctoral research has been published in
the Cambridge Journal of Economics. Jonathan has a strong interest in entrepreneurial leadership in all
spheres of society and in a variety of cultural contexts. Jonathan served as a ‘tentmaker’ in Japan and his
passion is that all cultures might experience the Holy Spirit. He loves to pray for the politics and economies
of towns and regions.

Dr Justine Toh Senior Fellow, The Centre for Public Christianity
Justine Toh is Senior Fellow at the Centre for Public Christianity where she speaks and writes about the
Christian faith in a secular age in publications like the Sydney Morning Herald, ABC online, and ABC
Religion & Ethics. She hosts the occasional series Spiritual Lifehack on ABC RN’s Soul Search and, very
occasionally, guest hosts ABC RN’s God Forbid, a panel program exploring contemporary religion. Justine
is also a presenter of the documentary For the Love of God: How the church is better and worse than you
ever imagined.

Dr Jeannie Trudel President/CEO, Christian Heritage College
Dr Jeannie Trudel is currently the President/CEO of Christian Heritage College, Carindale, Queensland. Jeannie
has a global background, having lived and worked in various countries. Her calling to Christian higher education
includes serving at Southern Wesleyan University and Indiana Wesleyan University in the U.S. before returning to
Australia. Through various organizations, she was a mediation trainer and organization development consultant
in the U.S. As an academic, she has taught graduate and undergraduate courses and led a business school.
Formerly a solicitor in Melbourne, she enjoyed her time as a court-appointed/approved mediator in Los Angeles,
Boston, and Louisville. She has a strong interest in conflict management in the workplace. She enjoys travelling
and learning different languages in order to connect with others. Her passion is for people, particularly university
students to be ignited with the love of Christ and she loves to pray for others.

     Jeff Tulk Partner, Saward Dawson
     Jeff Tulk is an audit and assurance partner with Saward Dawson with over 20 years experience in the
     oversight and conduct of audit engagements, both large and small. Jeff is a financial reporting specialist and
     was previously a technical director for a large national accounting firm. He has advised many organisation on
     their financial reporting and governance obligations. Jeff is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia
     and New Zealand (CA ANZ), a graduate member of the AICD and a regular facilitator for the Governance
     Institute’s Certificate in Governance for Not-for-profits. Jeff is a member of the CMA Standards Panel.

     Dr Matthew Turnour Director and Chairman, Neumann & Turnour Lawyers
     Matthew Turnour is a Director and the Chairman of Neumann & Turnour Lawyers and heads the Corporate
     and Commercial Law Division of the practice. He is Chair of the Queensland Law Society’s Subcommittee
     for the Not-for-profit Sector and a Director of the Australian Charity Law Association. Matthew is a member
     of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission’s Professional User Group and is a Queensland

     Dr Tania Watson Executive Minister, Riverview Church
     Tania has recently been appointed as an Executive Minister of Riverview Church. Between 2009-19, Tania
     was Executive Minister of Churches of Christ in WA. In this role, Tania was able, with the support of
     the COCWA Board and Staff, to foster a season of stability and organisational alignment that facilitated
     a renewed focus on the shared mission of Christ through the Churches. Tania completed a Doctor of
     Ministry in 2018 with a thesis that considers the relationship between trust, authority and leadership in the
     Australian cultural context. Tania is married to Neil and they are enjoying a new phase of life living in an
     apartment with their Schnoodle named Sundae.

     Jae Yang Partner, Prolegis Lawyers
     Jae was admitted as a solicitor in 2006. Since joining Prolegis Lawyers in 2009, he has advised on
     establishment, corporate and tax structuring, and legal compliance relating to charities, not-for-profits and
     philanthropic foundations. In particular, he specialises in advising charities and philanthropic foundations
     on obtaining charity registration, deductible gift recipient status, stamp duty exemptions and mergers. He
