First Aid Training Introduction NPW First Aid courses are bespoke and tailored to meet the needs of schools. All are delivered by Strong Roots Training who only use trainers that have past professional contact with young people (such as youth workers, SEN staff, etc.). Unlike some training providers, our courses are regulated by Qualsafe, an Ofqual recognised Awarding Organisation, established by experts in the first aid training industry. Strict limits also apply on the number of trainees on courses at any one session. This means we always excel in quality. First Aid Training Emergency First Aid at Work QA Level 3 (RQF) This vital, 1 day course, is for those working in schools and is appropriate NEW for all staff, in particular those who may need to deputise in the absence of the school main first aider to administer emergency first aid. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities. This qualification is valid for 3 years from the date of training. Governance School governors/trustees play an important role in the education system, making key decisions that will affect the future of school children in the local area and beyond. At NPW we provide a wide variety of development and training opportunities to governors/trustees. Each course provided is classified under an aspect of governance; Skills, Strategic or Knowledge and is also categorised under one or more competencies of the DfE’s Competency Framework for Governance 2017.
