In the seminar, we will focus on the topic of energy, Online

steelmaking industry. Establishing effective systems 2 hours

competitive advantage for energy-intensive segments by arrangement

43Program Technical Service Reference SMS TECademy IMPOL SEVAL aluminum rolling mill in Sevojno/Serbia Hydraulics seminar A hydraulics seminar for employees of Impol Seval was held July 22 - 27, 2019 at SMS group. The train- ing sessions were held in the Customer Training Center, the hydraulic test field in Hilchenbach, and the Digital Classroom in Mönchengladbach. Virtual pump and filter change An important aspect from the customer's perspective was the ability to utilize virtual reality to practice real pump and filter changes in a virtual space. The virtual plant tour allowed participants to get to know their future working environment first. A demonstration of pump and filter changes was then given, followed by intensive practice sessions in which the partici- pants were able to perform the changes themselves. This allowed them to learn solid skills in safe handling so that real-world changes can be performed quickly and safely in future. The benefits at a glance Risk-free familiarization with the plant and knowledge of future operating maneuvers that have no impact on the real plant. This means greater operational safety and reliability and fewer production losses resulting from work that is not properly carried out. 44
