Letter from the President Dear Friends of St. Francis High School, Welcome to “An Evening of Tradition & Elegance - Where Town Meets Country,” St. Francis High School’s Seventh Annual Revelry Auction. In addition to being our school’s most significant fundraiser, Revelry is a celebration of community at St. Francis. Your participation is the manifestation of support for the Mission of St. Francis and our pillars of Faith, Excellence, Leadership and Service. These are the enduring qualities of all Troubie graduates. We are grateful for the vision and leadership of Wendy Miller as this year’s Revelry Chair. Her organizational skills are evident in the extraordinary attention to detail and the ambiance and warmth of the evening. Her trademark touch of pink is tastefully woven into the theme of our gathering, and is testimony to her lovely and delightful nature. Thank you Wendy and your committee for your dedication to making this evening a success with your contributions of time, talent, and treasure. Tonight we will continue the tradition of giving for a purpose, one that sets our Troubies on a course for lasting success. With “Hands Up for Troubies” we ask parents and supporters to contribute directed funds for a significant and specifically identified need. Last year you gave generously to fund a pilot iPad mobile lab. I am pleased to share that this successful program has advanced full implementation of iPads for all students beginning in the 2013/14 school year. Our goal for this year’s “Hands Up for Troubies” is to complete Studio Troubadour. The green room and bones of a film and production studio were built in the theater complex; with your support we can equip the studio and launch the curriculum. Help our students take yet another step forward with Studio Troubadour! Very special thanks go to our many Revelry Sponsors. Your tremendous support has set a new high bar in achievement this evening. We particularly want to acknowledge our Presenting Sponsors: Sandra Geary Cook ’54 and John Cook (Cathleen ’79 & Laura ’81), and Hanson McClain Advisors, Kathy and Pat McClain (Colleen ’15) for their continued commitment to St. Francis High School. On behalf of the young women who benefit from your generosity, I offer sincere gratitude. You help provide them with the life-changing St. Francis experience: opportunities to know God, appreciate their gifts and talents, mature in the understanding of their responsibility in the world of service to others, and be confident that they are prepared to take on any challenge. I hope you enjoy this incredible evening of tradition and elegance knowing your support helps St. Francis graduate young women who change the world! In the Spirit of Pax et Bonum, Margo Reid Brown ’81 President Special thanks also go to the past Chairs: Randy Terwedo & Sue Kane (2006) Lindsey Sackheim & Julie Al-Huneidi (2009, 2010) Mary Ann Kelly (2007, 2008) Tracy Beckwith (2011) 4

Letter from the Chair Dear Revelry Patrons, The meaning of “Revelry” is to be festive, to make merry. Although I know we will all partake in the traditional and elegant festivities of the night, there is a much deeper revelry that I have come to enjoy and look forward to over these past several months: the “song” of the Troubadours. The young women of St. Francis High School are the real reason for Revelry. Just spend some time in Serra Court and you will witness not only laughter and community building, but intellectual conversations and many words of kindness. When I was asked to chair the 2012 Revelry, I knew there were new experiences ahead. I even expected there would be a few challenges. What I didn’t anticipate was the abundant joy and feeling of being a part of this family of peace and goodness! I recently had the honor of watching a prayer service led by the students. Their faith, support of one another and school spirit shone through and I don’t think there was a dry eye among the adults. I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. So many people have come together to make the 7th annual Revelry Gala Auction a great success. This year we had more sponsors than ever before! Thank you to our two presenting sponsors, Sandra & John Cook and Hanson McClain Advisors. Last year we extended our outreach with community coffees, the Ladies Legacy Luncheon and the Sponsors’ Reception. We continued that recipe for success this year and each event grew in numbers. Our many volunteers were always up for the task working day and night to make a truly elegant evening. I want to especially thank the Revelry Chairs listed on page 15. It was such a joy having so many wonderful people working together to make this event so special. Thank you to all for showing your support to the young women of St. Francis High School. Our girls and the future Troubadours are the real reason we come together not only as a community, but one big family. Join me in making An Evening of Tradition & Elegance – Where Town Meets Country a great success to continue the traditions of a faith-filled, college preparatory education. With gratitude, 6
