Dhivia Naidoo R.Ph

Managing Director
Dhivia Naidoo is an experienced Managing Director with a demonstrated history of working in the
Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical industry. She is a strong entrepreneurial professional offering over
20 years of Strategic and Operational Experience. She has owned her own business and was COO of a
pharmacy group. Her unique expertise lies in combining her Business Acumen with her Post Graduate
Board Certification in Functional Medicine, her training in Specialized Compounding and her qualification
as a Clinical Pharmacist. She obtained both her Fellowship in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine and
Advanced Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine from George Washington University –
School of Medicine (USA). She has also completed a Module on Specialized Compounding, placing her
amongst only a few South African medical professionals qualified in this field.
Not only is she skilled at leading her management team to optimal performance, but also at actively
practising the use of a “systems biology” approach to treating diseases.
She uses her studies in Metaphysics to allow her to fully understand the interplay between the mind and
the body in the process of disease prevention. She comes from a strong background of Nutritional Healing
and her interest lies in managing health early to prevent the onset of, or to reverse the progression of,
chronic diseases. She is also involved in the formulations of individualized medicine on a prescription basis
and specializes in bio-identical hormone replacement. She advocates the use of natural supplements as
an alternative to prescription medicines, where relevant, to minimise adverse side effects.
Dhivia is driven by her passion to share her knowledge about Functional Medicine and its benefits to
Health Professionals and Patients alike. Her vision is that an informed Health Professional and Patient will
result in achieving a shift toward creating an attitude of sustainable disease prevention rather than disease
cure, for all. To this end she was instrumental in obtaining an Educational Partnership with A4M – making
a University affiliated Functional Medicine qualification available to South African medical professionals.

Director of Clinical Education
David practices as an Integrative Clinical Pharmacist, where his main focus is to get to the root cause
of disease and illness. One of his areas of interest is the relationship between emotional and physical
health, and he specialises in devising personalised treatment plans that address all aspects that contribute
to wellness. David has extensive medical experience and understands the benefits of conventional
medicine, as well as the harm it can cause in the body. Having recently completed an international
module on prescribing compounded mixtures, he knows how to use natural supplements as alternatives
to prescription medicine and how to combine natural and prescription medicine to reduce the side effects
often associated with conventional therapy. Another area of interest for David is anti-aging medicine.
He is an advanced Fellow and Diplomate in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine with the American
Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and is the first pharmacist in South Africa to be board-certified by
the American Academy for Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. Acutely aware of the influence that
nutrition has on overall health, he completed a Nutrigenomics course with the Department of Human
Nutrition at Wafeningen University, Netherlands, linking genomics, nutrition and health research, and
is currently completing a Masters in Nutrition and Metabolic Studies through the University of South
Florida, USA. David was recently invited to speak at the prestigious A4M World Conference held in Las
Vegas in December 2016, so can add International Speaker to his accolades. This places David among
an elite group of medical professionals in South Africa. David holds the position of Director of Clinical
Education at The Compounding Pharmacy of South Africa.

The Compounding Pharmacy of South Africa has worked to create and facilitate this venture which is now

also given the ultimate opportunity to further their education with a Master’s degree at The George Washington
University based in the US.
The goal of the Metabolic Medical Institute is to set a new standard of medical education, and to help practitioners
