''LAKE ANNECY, IS NOT ONLY SUMMER!” In the autumn and winter, Lake Annecy also has lots to offer... The landscape changes and gives way to tranquillity, but the beauty of nature and the peaceful lake are preserved to receive the white gold in the surrounding resorts. Here the Annecy Mountains play a major role: between lake and mountains, there is a clear complementarity of the Aravis Mountain range in Annecy. A response to the different wishes of members of the same family or fans of mountain sports: autumn to enjoy the beautiful hikes and reddish colours offered by the landscape and winter to enjoy the thrills of all types of sliding sports. Lake Annecy puts on its white finery but does not set aside its trendy reputation with the many places to discover in town and on its shores. It’s a parenthesis after the summer frenzy, to go into "pause" mode and recharge your batteries. A winter season to take care of yourself and "breathe in" the benefits of the pure mountain air. This Autumn/Winter 18-19 edition offers a selection of topics with a refined blend of news, exclusives and events that you must not miss. Yann Clavillier, Director, Lake Annecy Tourism Office

FOCUS LES CHEVALIERS DU LAC The Jean Régis Rink offers public sessions, private and group skating classes for young Annecy also means ice hockey! and old (initiation and development) and theme nights during the school holidays. With a club that began in 1972, 300 graduates today are leading the sport of hockey in Annecy. A new impetus is emerging for this 2018/19 season: a reshaping of objectives and later, a renewal of part of the committee, the willingness has been clearly affirmed: go back up to D1 within 3 years. To achieve this, the strategy of the new team in place, led by the new President Yoan Ruault, aims to unite players from an early age: indeed, among the 300 members, there is a very large proportion of children and this is the strength of the club. Children as young as 4 years old can be registered. Priority is given to learning the basic rules and values for a better progress over time. At the club, there is a festive atmosphere, a highlight of the collective for a living club with a good dynamic. Julien, the Club’s Secretary and father of an 8-year old child playing hockey: “There is a very good attitude, the integration of young people is the priority ... it is not only the children who get along in the group but also the parents and this is very important ...” The desire to integrate more and more young people is reflected in the composition of team 1 (semi-pro): 4 players aged less than 20 years and 4 others between 20 and 21 years. Regarding recruitment for the “Chevaliers du Lac” this season, the choice was to prioritise young, French athletes with: forward, Matthieu Leblond and winger Raphaël Papa, with both having practised at the Brûleurs de Loups (Grenoble). Two foreign players, Jiri Jelen (a Czech and the oldest player of the team (1977) and Martin Cizeck are also part of the composition of the team, “driven” by two trusted coaches to reach the top: Cyril Papa and Women are also well represented at the Martin Millerioux. club with a female presence in all the The official season begins on September 22 to leisure teams and dedicated days...
