Mongolian Prime Minister Khurelsukh Ukhnaa & his Government Resigns The Prime Minister of Mongolia, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, has resigned along with his entire government, following protests and public outrage over the government’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 52-year-old served as the Prime Minister of Mongolia from 4 October 2017 to 21 January 2021. Khurelsukh, of the Mongolian People's Party, won a landslide election last June, but the country has been plagued by political instability. The protests erupted over what some Mongolians saw as the inhumane treatment of a COVID-19 patient and her newborn baby. Mongolia: Capital: Ulaanbaatar Currency: Mongolian tögrög Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli expelled from ruling Communist Party over dissolution of Parliament Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been expelled from the ruling Communist Party over his decision to dissolve the Parliament. The decision to expel Oli from the party was taken by the Central Committee at a meeting held. The move comes amid repeated threats by the rival faction leaders who had said that they would revoke Oli's membership over his decision to dissolve the Nepal Parliament.
Nepal plunged into a political crisis on December 20 last year after the Prime Minister Oli, in a surprise move, recommended dissolution of Parliament amidst a tussle for power with former PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda. Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari accepted the recommendations and Parliamentary elections are scheduled for April 30 and May 10. Elon Musk's SpaceX creates new world record; launches 143 satellites on single rocket Elon Musk’s SpaceX created a new world record by launching 143 satellites on a single rocket. SpaceX has beaten the Indian space agency ISRO's record of deploying 104 satellites in a single launch in February 2017. The launch vehicle for the SpaceX record-breaking flight was the Falcon 9 rocket. The 143 satellites launched include commercial and government CubeSats, microsats and 10 Starlink satellites. With these satellites, SpaceX aims to provide near-global broadband internet coverage all over the world by 2021. SpaceX offered a very low price of 15,000 dollars per kilogram for each satellite to be delivered to a polar sun-synchronous orbit. National Voters’ Day: 25 January The National Voters’ Day (NVD) is observed every year on 25 January every year.
The Election Commission was founded in 1950 on this day. The occasion was first celebrated in 2011. This year's theme is "Making Our Voters Empowered, Vigilant, Safe and Informed". This year, the theme of National Tourism Day is 'Dekho Apna Desh'. 122 Bangladesh Armed Forces personnel to participate in India’s Republic Day parade For the first time ever, a 122 member strong contingent of the Bangladesh Armed Forces will participate in the Republic Day parade. The contingent comprises soldiers of the Bangladesh Army, sailors of the Bangladesh Navy and air warriors of the Bangladesh Air Force. This year India and Bangladesh celebrate 50 years of the establishment of diplomatic ties and Bangladesh celebrates 50 years of its independence.
Both sides have agreed to hold commemorative events in several other countries and also jointly organize events throughout the year. UP govt to provide free coaching for JEE, NEET, NDA, UPSC and other exams under ‘ABHYUDAYA’ Uttar Pradesh government will provide free coaching to students preparing for various competitive exams like JEE, NEET, NDA, CDS and UPSC. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the launch of an ambitious, state-wide, free coaching facility - ABHYUDAYA from next month. The free coaching facility program Abhyudaya will start from Basant Panchmi. In the first phase, it will start in 18 divisional headquarters of the state, where coaching will be imparted physically and virtually. The infrastructure of government schools, colleges and universities will be used for Abhyudaya coaching centres. Uttar Pradesh Government launches ‘Udyam Sarathi App’ for Youths on the 71st Foundation Day of the State Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the ‘Udyam Sarathi App’ on the occasion of the 71st Foundation Day of the state. The app will enable the youths to get every information related to self-employment and the job industry, across the state. Udyam Sarathi App will comprise a varied range of data regarding business opportunities in different departments and sectors, including the state and Central governments, and anywhere and at any time. It has been launched under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme.
Himachal Pradesh celebrates its golden jubilee statehood day on 25 January Himachal Pradesh celebrated its golden jubilee statehood day on 25 January with full zeal across the state. It was on this day in 1971 Himachal Pradesh became the 18th state of India. Himachal became a Part 'C' state on 26 January 1950 with the implementation of the Constitution of India and the Lieutenant Governor was appointed. Himachal Pradesh became a union territory on 1 November 1956. In 1966, hilly areas of neighboring Punjab state were merged into Himachal and it was ultimately granted full statehood in 1971. WIPRO group gears up to act as knowledge partner of Madhya Pradesh govt In Madhya Pradesh, WIPRO group is all set to act as knowledge partner of the State Government. The company has taken initiative for establishment of a university in the State. For this purpose, the State Government will extend all possible support to the Foundation. The Wipro Group will also set up a Software Development Centre in Bhopal. Azim Premji Foundation has been allotted 50 acres of land for the proposed university in Bhopal.
